Having had a little to do with foreign footballers in Asia, I am more than a little skeptical that he's earning SG$520,000 in S'pore - perhaps they only pay in season.

He's very keen to give up his Canadian citizenship - which Singapore requires, and it does not allow dual nationals - but Singapore has made it difficult to acquire citizenship in recent years after a flood of Chinese migrants threaten the Singapore way of life, or so the story goes.

Good luck to him.

I agree - I both know very little about footballers in Asia and am skeptical about the earnings reporting.  I wonder if that is an error in the article.  It seems strange to be asking players to take $2,500 a month, while Singapore internationals get between $4,000 and $10,000 a month, but foreigners get $10,000 a week. Wondering if that should have to been by month.

I think you're right @WheatsheafSK

Makes much more sense, and would be only slightly less than the better foreign players get here in HK. If the foreigners would earn SG$10,000 a week then quite frankly that league's foreign players would be far, far better and higher profile than they currently attract.

Emmanuel Okorougo who was at a U15 camp a few years ago is now at Crystal Palace Academy.

Date of Birth: 26/09/1999

Place of Birth: Montreal, Canada

Emmanuel joined the club at the beginning of the season after impressing on trial at the end of the previous campaign. A tall, powerful striker, he is very good with his back to goal and causes defences problems with his pace.

2015/16 stats: N/A

Name indicates he'd be eligible for multiple nations. Let me be the first to call for us cap tying him!

What was Floro thinking by not bringing this kid in for the final two games. What a no-nothing idiot.

Caleb Clarke is now playing for FC Amberg in Bayernliga Nord (tier V), he signed there in August. His new club played in the Regionaliga Bayern (IV) with Unterhaching last year, but were relegated. He's also now a teammate of Canadian midfielder Scott Kennedy.

He has made 8 appearances so far this season, scoring one goal. According to Amberg's teamsheet he's apparently injured at the moment. http://fcamberg.de/1-mannschaft/
