NEW Mother of all Canucks Abroad (and domestic)

Miki Cantave has signed with RSD Alcalá, in Alcalá de Henares outside of Madrid, team in 3rd Div, 4th tier. He played preseason friendlies with the first team, and scored for the B team as seen here, in 5th tier, in a preseason match last week.

This is a step down from being in 2B, but since he hardly got minutes last season after signing hopefully he will here. He turns 20 next month, so he's young. Good group as there are B teams of At Madrid, Getafe, in the group, his exposure in the Madrid area will always be high.

Rafael Carbajal seems to be assistant coach or possibly head coach of Canadian SC in Uruguay's second division.

Also looks like they have signed Andres Fresenga.

In addition to Fresenga, Canadian SC also has recently picked up 19 year old Nicolas Galvis Llano. (Colombian born, Canadian raised)

Someone on reddit found that Tristan Jumeau has a Canadian mother. He also has a younger brother in the academy

He is at Burnley? We need Arfield on that ASAP! I hope he looks up to Super Scott!

Heh, figured someone would want to pull that card!

He can try, but I expect right now the kid would want to try to the country he grew up in. Maybe in a few years, depending on how his career goes

French father, no evident link to England. May have a good shot at these kids as the French will probably have a lot more options domestically.

The article doesn't actually mention where he was born or where he's from, meaning he could very well have been born and raised in England. At the very least, according to his Burnley profile, his parents go to see their sons train and play seven days a week, so they clearly live close by.

There are 2 Canadians with HASK Zagreb in the Croatian 3rd division west; Anton Ivan Buretic(20) and Alex Cholewinski (21). Both played with North Mississauga SC

Jordan Webb is earning around $10,000 a week playing in Singapore.  However, his club may be looking at cutting the salaries.

For what it is worth, he wants Singapore citizenship.

Having had a little to do with foreign footballers in Asia, I am more than a little skeptical that he's earning SG$520,000 in S'pore - perhaps they only pay in season.

He's very keen to give up his Canadian citizenship - which Singapore requires, and it does not allow dual nationals - but Singapore has made it difficult to acquire citizenship in recent years after a flood of Chinese migrants threaten the Singapore way of life, or so the story goes.

Good luck to him.
