BrennanFan
Diego Reveco (1999) has been signed by A.S. Morolo in Italy. They play in the fifth tier of Italian football. Reveco, who has been mentioned a few times on this board but is not yet listed in the MOACA list, most recently was on the books at Colo Colo in Chile. He is from Winnipeg and has a Chilean Father and an Italian Mother. http://www.dalealbo.cl/joven-canadiense-que-dej-las-inferiores-de/

Augsburg has not been a good situation, the jump from Regionalliga (4th tier) with the reserves to B1 is huge. Stanese is eligible for Romania and i believe has already been approached by their U21/23 program a couple of years ago. We need to keep in close contact and bring him in as soon as he's racking up minutes and doing well. nolando

We need to keep in close contact and bring him in as soon as he's racking up minutes and doing well. We capped him in one of the Iceland games in January 2015. He still has his one-time switch so he could theoretically still play for Romania (or the U.S.), but that seems highly unlikely given that Romania are a very strong team, so I don't think there's too much need to be paranoid about him. At the very least, if his career starts to take off he'll be back on Canada's radar long before he's on Romania's. It does look like a great opportunity though, playing for a recently promoted club in a top flight league could be an ideal springboard for his pro career. A 22 yr old playing well domestically in Romania would draw the attention of some of their big clubs and their NT staff would likely start courting him too. If we crash out in the next 2 weeks our only official matches for the next 3 years will be next summer's GC. So there's nothing paranoid about keeping a close eye on the guy. nolando
Big_M
Hard to see a 22 year old from the 4th tier of Germany get regular playing time in the 1st tier of Romania. He'll probably start off with the 2nd team, which plays in the 3rd tier, which would be good for him to start. Good on him for still pushing hard. hamiltonfan and shamrock
Oranje
I think this case beckons the need to have legitimate Canada B camps and matches. Keep fringe players like Stanese involved jpg75

BCM
Caolan Lavery signed for Sheffield United. Left rival Sheffield Wednesday at the end of last season. Since he's under 24 and Wednesday had offered him a contract they are owed compensation. Should be fairly nominal.

Unnamed Trialist
Miki Cantave has left Guadalajara, announced early August. He actually had a contract with them to June 2017, I think this is by mutual accord. I cannot find where he might be right now. http://www.todomercadoweb.es/mercado/oficial-guadalajara-rescision-de-cantave-177961

That is interesting as its the division Fisk and Piette were in up until last year, in Galicia. This team has never been higher than 4th tier. Just today, thinking of Misik playing in Poland 2nd tier, I was looking at a striker I follow from a Barcelona team in 4th tier, Kuku who was at Jupiter, and saw he'd signed for a team in Poland 2nd div, which surprised me. I guess we are talking about a similar level, though I am sure in Poland you'd make more money. Any observations on how Ben Fisk has been doing in Edmonton, is that workign out? Again, curious about the equivalent levels (Sp 4th tier = Poland 2nd = NASL?). Edited September 5, 2016 by Unnamed Trialist
Big_M
Misik barely played in the 2nd league. Will be interesting to see if he can be a starter there. Probably an occasional starter/sub. Fisk is a sub, came into a team that is top of the table but has played well. Good player between the mids and striker, good at running with the ball, passing, creating plays and getting back and defending. Weakness is finishing. Can be a starter in this league. Will be interesting to see if he looks to go back overseas as he had a good run with Coruxo in the 3rd league before Deportivo. Luckily, a few of these matches get put on Galicia tv so we may get a chance to see them some day, it's too far away for me to see any game live though. Piette I may go see this season though even that is over 4 hrs away...
