tmcmurph
The Gold Cup was the tournament highlight but for a single match I've not watched a more enjoyable one than our 3-2 loss to Brazil. This was mother-f@#$ing BRAZIL and we did that and looked good doing it! No bunker and hope, we were playing soccer. Intelligent long balls to keep them honest, great build up play and excellent chances on goal (if only Dero's chip had worked, sigh). After the game I was just stunned that we could play that style that well.
roue
Similarly, the next game at home to Honduras in Montreal when Serioux scored first - I was only watching on TV but I remember jumping out of my chair. The less said about the rest of the game, the better... Yup agreed , first away V-trip for me , exciting when we got accosted by the security guard in the shopping mall / subway . Oranje
Summer 2010(?) vs Honduras in Montreal. The downpour was insane, play was suspended, and the Vs funnelled under the stands in old Saputo and kept the party going. Luckily play continued and we beat Honduras. One hell of a night
SuperCanuck
In person, beating the US or Mexico, can't remember which, to win the North American something-or-other at Swangard in Vancouver about 100 years ago when we were generally better than the US. On TV, the Gold Cup final. Great memories, but sad at the same time to see how far we've fallen.
