DJT
Guidelines for this threadIn this thread post match updates on all Canadians abroad for September 11-17, 2015. If you find updates posted in some other thread then post them here as well, but be sure to credit the original poster. nolando
Canada's version of the lonely and forgotten Maytag Repairman (dating myself here), Pacheco, started and played an hour for Santa Clara in a 2-0 loss to Gil Vicente. He was on for both goals. http://www.record.xl.pt/futebol/nacional/liga-honra/detalhe/santa-clara-gil-vicente-0-2-gilistas-vencem-nos-acores-974408.html Speaking of lonely, there were four-hundred spectators for this match at Santa Clara's home stadium. Big_M
Akindele has started for Dallas and scored a great goal with a top-corner shot from the right side right before half-time. Candidate for goal of the week for sure. 2 minutes later, he gets the ball in the same area, dribbles to the middle and shoots with his left and it's deflected wide. Michel then scores straight from the corner. Akindele is really an important player for Dallas.

With Canada Floro tells him that if he tries to score he'll fail and Canada as a result will give up four goals.
Big_M
^ Lol, in that case, Pareja should call Floro and tell him that not only Akindele scores regularly, but he gets back deep and defends well. But I doubt that even that would get him a start over a Ricketts who doesn't make the 18 in the Turkish 2nd division. He's too stubborn.
king1010
Has borjan won the number 1 keepers job? The other guy was pretty sought out by good european leagues. He must be regretting not moving on.

He must be regretting not moving on. It is an unbelievably impressive achievement if this is in fact the case. He has been playing the last few matches and is getting the start ahead of a Bulgarian national team keeper!

Unnamed Trialist
Piette came on in m. 60 for Racing Ferrol, who drew at home vs. Izarra 1-1, all goals in the first minutes. Fisk started for Deportivo B--good sign--who have not begun the season very well, Ben was subbed out m. 66 and the rival Alondras tied it 1-1 in m. 94. Earlier this week Fisk also started vs. Rapido de Bouzas in a competition for lower leagues teams not playing Copa del Rey, Copa Federación, they lost 2-1. So he's getting his minutes but no goals yet.

The coach and entire staff of the team were just fired, so the new guy is revamping things, this might explain it. Even hough the new coach Eranosyan is Bulgarian and Ribeiro, the guy who lasted 2 months, is Portuguese.

Well, they are top of the league and have only lost 1 game this season, (after 8 matches), so they are doing something right!

RickC
Henry's West Ham U21s were playing against Blackburn's U21s, so one would expect this to be a time for Henry to shine and get another loan with Rovers. News report states he was "out-paced to the ball" which resulted in a goal in WHUs loss.

Hope he can learn and improve over the course of the season.
