MrsC
The Matildas are on strike, pushing for a more livable wage (to around $40,000/yr per player). http://bigstory.ap.org/article/7fc90feeccd94dd2a9549e499b0334d4/australia-womens-team-goes-strike-american-tour Christine Sinclair just tweeted out her support and it will be interesting to see if this has any impact on the Canadian team. With her endorsements Christine Sinclair is obviously doing ok, but my impression is that most of the canWNT are currently making salaries similar to that of the Matildas. LeanneMac
Good on them!! Hope they get the result they want and quickly. Our female players deserve so much more than what they get
tc-in-bc
Strange. Christine Sinclair supports the Matilda's strike but Lisa De Vanna doesn't: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/football/matildas-strike-players-break-ranks-and-declare-they-want-to-tour-united-states/story-fni2wcjl-1227520231025 Heres's a podcast elaborating on some of the Matilda's issues: https://audioboom.com/boos/3554415-twg-extra-pfa-ceo-adam-vivian
LeanneMac
Odd that De vanna doesn't support it! What's the deal on this situation now?
