king1010
Figure we start a thread for tomorrows game. Ill start off with this news. @JohnMolinaro: Julian de Guzman trained with #canMNT this morning in Houston. He's carrying a knock (low body, leg). No word yet if he'll play vs Jamaica. BrennanFan
Jamaica Probable Lineup GK Miller - Syrianska, Swedish 1st D Mariappa - Crystal Palace Austin - Leeds Morgan - Leicester *Played in the Friendly vs Canada Lawrence - NY Red Bull *Played in the Friendly vs Canada M McCleary - Reading Taylor - Houston *Played in the Friendly vs Canada Watson - Dallas *Played in the Friendly vs Canada McAnuff - Leyton Orient F Barnes - Houston (5 goals this year) Dawkins - Derby (5 goals last year) *Played in the friendly vs Canada [Mattocks - Whitecaps (3 goals this year)] This team does not particularly concern me. On paper at least, we match up quite well. 5 of their players started in the 3-1 loss against us last fall. Of our likely starters tomorrow, only Ricketts, Edgar and deJong started in the friendly, Bekker, Jakovic and Straith came on as subs.
BrennanFan
Assuming deGuz is out, What I think Floro will do: ------------------Larin Akindele---------------------------Ricketts -----------------Osorio -----------Piette-------Straith DeJong--Jakovic--Edgar--Ledgerwood -----------------Kyriakos What I would do: -------------------Haber Akindele---------------------------Jackson -----------Osorio------Teibert -------------------Piette DeJong--Jakovic--Edgar--Ledgerwood -------------------Kenny I'm Bekker's biggest fan, but if he starts again I will shat myself in the middle of Scallywags. Morgan is basically on par with deJong at this point, except Morgan has (much) more speed while deJong has his set piece delivery which we may need tomorrow Piette is only a starter for me because of the absence of deGuz (and WJ and AH) Why we will probably be unsuccessful: Larin - totally unproven at the international level Akindele - totally unproven at the international level Ricketts - couldnt score in a brothel Osorio - totally unproven at the international level Teibert - totally unproven at the international level Piette - totally unproven at the international level Straith - totally unproven at the international level Bekker - totally unproven at the international level Haber - totally unproven at the international level
ironcub14
Could somebody tell me if we have ever played a 4-2-3-1 under Floro? Hasn't it always been pretty much a 4-1-4-1/4-3-3? I could be wrong, so please do tell. Re-posting, but what I would like to see vs. Jamaica. Canada (4-3-3/4-1-4-1) - Stamatopoulos; Ledgerwood, Edgar, Jaković, de Jong; de Guzman, Piette, Osorio; Teibert, Larin, Akindele

Coramoor
If Stamatopoulos plays as well as he did last game, aside from the one yakity sax segment, we should win/draw.
Obinna
If JDG is healthy and we go 4-1-4-1 --------------------------------Stama---------------------- Ledgerwood--- Egdar-------Jakovic---------Morgan -----------------------------de Guzman---------------- Akindele----------Teibert----Osorio----------De Jong ----------------------------------Larin------------------------------- This is what i'd like to see but I have a strange feeling we'll continue to see Ricketts from the start, and to a lesser extent I feel that Morgan won't start. I also have a feeling (fear?) that Floro will throw us into panick and select Ouimette for De Jong at LB. Wouldn't be the first time it has happened. I wouldn't be dissapointed to see Tissot start btw.
Keegan
We have so many interchangeable options in this team, that's why it's so shocking that Floro waited so long last match. You have to think that Tissot and Jackson will get minutes at some point too.

Morgan takes over at LB as hes had a good season at TFC so far. De Guzman slots in if hes recovered. Doubt Floro goes with this lineup though
Keegan
I can't see Floro starting JDG if he is carrying even a slight knock. Really hoping he plays tomorrow.
sloth8
1-1 draw Agreed, but Jamaica's goal is a result of a terrible back pass from De Guzman in the 90th minute...

Keegan
I'm thinking it will be either 0-0 or a 1-0 win for us.
Soccerpro
2-0 Jamaica. Jamaica has played together more lately, I think they have better individual players and are a better team than we are right now. Especially after that performance against El Salvador, I don't see us looking good for this one.
Kusch to the Corner
1-0 Jamaica. It looks like we're going to eek out a 0-0 draw despite Floro playing Bekker and Straith in the midfield again until late in the game when we conceded a free kick 30 yards out. Floro has all the defenders line up on the 6 yard box to defend the kick. Jamaica simply fires the ball at the net and it's deflected in.
koolvid
I'm getting wasted before this game. Our CBs should play 30 feet off Mattocks if they don't want to get burned.
