Montreal June 15th Flag Poles

Coming up from some lads from Ottawa and want to know if there is any rules on flag poles. WE have the PVC ones that they require of us. If not we will not bring them up. Any info would be welcomed

Both Olympic stadium and the local FIFA organizing committees have a lot of rules, are hard to contact and are unpredictable. At the U20 WWC last year one guy did bring a Canada flag and flagpole and got in no problem. At the Champions League games the only flags they let in were pre-cleared with the club and they did not even let people bring in flags without flagpoles though that may have had something to do with the idiotic fireproofing flag policy of the Impact (although the Impact not very convincingly tried to blame Olympic Stadium for this policy). Usually they have an area where they store things and let you pick them up again after the game if they do not let you bring them in. So I think if they did not let you in with them you would probably be able to pick them up after the game so it is probably worthwhile to try.

I'm bringing the giant Vs flag, without a pole. It can be draped over the front of the section. I don't have duct tape on me, if anyone brings some we can use it. Assuming they let us use it.

I have the long Vs banner with me that we used in Edmonton for the second game. Thanks to Zach for bringing it from Vancouver. I also have some duct tape and a package of zip ties for installation so we should be good to go. See you all at the pre game!
