sloth8 Posted June 10, 2015 Share Posted June 10, 2015 Yes, glad to see that they got close to 12,000. Hopefully, it will be more this weekend. The benefit of having events in Moncton is that it will draw in fans from the rest of NB (Saint John and Fredericton are both 1.5 hour drives away; 50 percent of the province's population between these 3 cities) and potentially parts of PEI and NS. It's part of the same reason that Moncton successfully hosted massive outdoor summer concerts (U2, Rolling Stones, etc.) - people throughout the region want to see the big event in town. PaulV Posted June 10, 2015 Share Posted June 10, 2015 It's nice that a national event can actually be spread out across the country and not only in the usual suspect cities from Montreal to Vancouver. Glad the Atlantic provinces are getting to participate, and hopefully they'll do a better job of getting people through security checks and into the actual stadium for the next game.
