Liam Fraser

Just watching it on bet365.

He did set up the goal. Wasn't anything fancy, just passing it to the goal scorer next to him. Also got the "hockey assist" on the first goal.

He has made several good long range passes that did result in dangerous opportunities. So far a solid debut.

Just realizing they are playing against the team that is top of the table by a decent margin. Looks like a win in this one would go a long way towards their promotion chances. Would be a nice debut if it holds.

They are leading 3-0 now.

The win puts them 4 points out of 2nd place. Which gets a promotion playoff game against the 17th place team from the top division.

Fraser is the most valuable player on Deinze, who are in the hunt for promotion but are on the outside looking in.

Maybe he's the player who will push them over the line. We have focused on how this level is too low for Liam, but for them it may be like the typical DP signing midway through a season that turns around a clubs fortunes. After all, he is a 13-time capped player for the 33rd ranked FIFA nation. Are there any other players at this level of play with such a resume?

I know it's early, but I am kind of getting Eustaquio Pacos vibes. He too can be rewarded by pulling his club upward.

Spanish 2nd tier includes reserve sides. If they can promote.

But you will agree that the level of Spanish 2nd tier is much higher than the Belgian 2nd tier even with reserve sides. It's not going to help Liam's game playing reserve sides in Belgium 2nd tier. It may have worked for Brym & Colyn but when Liam moved to Belgium most would have ranked him ahead of Brym and certainly Colyn for the CMNT, notwithstanding they play different positions

When is Ozzy going to come on here and defend the inclusion of reserves sides in the Belgian second division?

People worried about him playing reserve sides in 2nd tier Belgium: there are plenty of advantages.

The rival reserve players are from 1st tier teams and their upside is higher than a 2nd tier journeyman on a perpetual lower division team. They are often young, true, but they will have strong ball talent and skill levels.

They are playing not only for results but to be noticed by the first team.

First team scouts are regularly and diligently following Belgium 2nd tier because they have their Reserve players there. If there were no Reserve sides in 2nd tier Belgium, which top flight team would be scouring their matches weekly? So whatever Fraser does will be noticed more, and by higher quality scouts, now that the Reserve teams are playing in the tier as well.
