Stuart
Since this is the start of a brand new season I thought I'd start a thread based on just this season. Red and White
Att. around 1000 That's really good for PDL. Do you think its sustainable?
Stuart
Yes, I believe so. Considering it was a long - weekend and there were alot of people out of town, I think it was a fantastic turn out. Our next home game is on a Tueday: June 2nd. So if we get similar attendance I'll be pretty confident in the immediate future of the club.
shermanator
Couldn't have asked for a better start to the season. A good result, decent crowd, and our scarf order sold out before kickoff. Now let's see how the club does in Seattle Friday Also, a huge shout out to madmonte for making the trip from Medicine Hat, and Joe Keeper for making the trip from Lethbridge. madmonte
Thanks guys! Yeah it was awesome. Is 1000 sustainable? Who knows. Just know I personally had a fanstastic time and will be back.

Is that a estimate on the 1000 or an official attendance from the league website? Sounds like a good turnout regardless and congrats to the team on their opener. Disapointing twitter feed for the team with their game updates though, they literally tweeted out every minute or less which became twitter spam and had to unfollow them for the remainder of the game like a couple of my friends had to as well. They need to learn how to tweet updates cause thats not the way and it was a mess.
madmonte
^Total estimate at this point. Definitely hundreds though. Actually the guy that runs the twitter feed asked us about it after the game, whether it was too much, looking for feedback. I'll let him know next time I see him to give it a little less, then, he's actually a pretty good dude. At the time I told him that with social media there's never too much, but I hadn't actually BEEN on twitter the entire night...so I didn't actually see how much it was. Jason
That's really good for PDL. Do you think its sustainable? I think the next game on a Tuesday night will tell us a lot. This match was on the long weekend, but I still think a Sunday afternoon game on a sunny day even on a long weekend will be an easier sell than a Tuesday night game. If they can get similar for that one I will view it as being very positive. Jason

I can't figure out why the club isn't selling gear at the game. I think you will sell out of scarves next match too without any trouble if you're the only option. If you can please hold a scarf for me when you get that next shipment. I should be able to be at the next match or I can even arrange pick up earlier if you prefer. I figured the twitter guy must be new at it, great if he can get feedback to keep it at a reasonable amount. Usually with other teams updates they put out a tweet every 3-4 minutes or so with the major happenings. He should check out FC Edmonton's for a game and see how they do it to get a feel for it.
