baulderdash77
I kept Tesho in the list until his situation gets clarified. I also kept Vitoria out until his situation changes. This list only includes players under contract, no trialists. Also for the "Whitecaps hate Canadians" crowd, note that they have the most Canadians on their roster now. tmcmurph
Bryce Alderson left the Caps a while back. On the team "MLS Roster" page they list Adekugbe, Bustos, Carducci, Clarke, Froese, McKendry & Teibert. So lucky 7 and as they say "it's a good start" The really great thing that I see is all 3 clubs have 6 or 7 players on them and mostly younger ones. That bodes well. baulderdash77
Fixed with Alderson. I thought I got him the first time.
shermanator
Here's how I foresee each player into where they fit on their teams. I think it will be interesting to see how I predicted come November. Thoughts? Regular starters (1500+ minutes): de Jong, Akindele, Johnson (when healthy), Osorio, Teibert Occasional starters / regular subs (500 - 1500 minutes): Bekker, Larin, Tissot, Bernier, Chapman, Adekugbe Occasional sub (< 500 minutes): Ouimette, Gagnon-Lapare, Morgan, Bustos, Froese USL: Crepeau, Beland-Goyette, Jackson-Hamel, Aparicio, Roberts, Hamilton, Manella, Carducci, Clarke, McKendry
tmcmurph
Breakout Canadian player of 2015? Akindele and Osorio had good years in 2014. I'll go with Clarke for 2015.

madmonte
I'm going to say Bekker as the breakout player of 2015. As often happens with players leaving TFC, this time I hope it's a Canadian that experiences the benefit of leaving TFC
shamrock
I'm guessing for Jackson-Hamel as Montreal still are thin upfront. Looking at talent Bustos and Larin should make progress, but they have a lot of competition to deal with.
Blackdude
I'm guessing for Jackson-Hamel as Montreal still are thin upfront. Looking at talent Bustos and Larin should make progress, but they have a lot of competition to deal with. He's injured right now. He got operated on a sports hernia and he's supposed to fully recover in 1-3 weeks. The lack of a training camp could really delay this year. He'll have to show that he's better than Porter, who just scored the biggest goal in Impact history. I don't see him a starter this year because they'll play with one forward and from what Klopas has said earlier this year, he'll sign a DP this summer, and I expect that it will be a forward. lazlo_80
Is Ouimette the first Canadian Homegrown to leave his hometown team and sign with another? That's sort of a weird sign of progress.

davey_twelve
26 players and no right backs, the black hole of the NT!
masster
If Akindele is on the list, then Ethan Finlay should be included as well.
msilverstein47
New York Red Bulls (1) Karl Ouimette - DF - http://en.wikipedia....i/Karl_Ouimette HARRISON, N.J. (March 5, 2015) – The New York Red Bulls announced today the addition of three players. The Red Bulls have signed 2015 third-round pick Shawn McLaws and Canadian international Karl Ouimette, pending approval of Ouimette’s p-1 visa and International Transfer Certificate. New York has also completed the transfer of Cameroonian striker Anatole Abang from Rainbow FC, pending approval of ITC.
Gian-Luca
Osorio plays 90 for TFC in their season opening win over Vancouver. Teibert was subbed out mid-way through the 2nd half. Osorio got the better of Teibert in the build-up to the first TFC goal in the first half. Adekugbe, Morgan and Chapman were un-used subs (although it's promising that Chapman was taken to Vancouver over the likes of Daniel Lovitz). Bekker was an un-used sub for Dallas in a 1-0 win over San Jose.
One American
Akindele went 90, looked fairly sharp, composed, was robbed by the SJ keeper at point blank range.
Dub Narcotic
Adekugbe is going to play sooner rather than later.
madmonte
Akindele went 90, looked fairly sharp, composed, was robbed by the SJ keeper at point blank range. I also watched the game. Complete agreement, I actually used the exact same word (sharp) to describe him elsewhere.
Barthez-Battalion
Larin, Ouimette, and De Jong not in the 18 for their teams. And there goes any optimism I had for Canadians in MLS this season.
IceCreamMan
I would think De Jong has to be a fitness thing? Disappointing for sure on the other two
Gian-Luca
Its a long season boys, and I don't think anyone was projecting Larin or Ouimette to be starters for their team right off the bat. Not that surprised they weren't dressed.
shermanator
Larin's exclusion from the 18 is a little surprising. Wonder if he'll start the year in Louisville?
