Perhaps somebody with better Spanish than me (+ Google Translate) can explain exactly what was said about Canada. Or use this article as a basis to find more info on this potential Paraguay rumour.

 

If this was true, looks like the CSA is indeed working on something for March 2015 (or 2015 pre-WCQ in general).

I've read this last week I think. I didn't want to post it here because I personally think new Paraguay coach's Ramon Diaz lacked respect of the MNT. Since it's already here I will translate Diaz words:

 

President of the APF said ""He [Ramon Diaz] asked me to play nearby [Paraguay plays Mexico on March 23 in Kansas], and also asked me to play strongest opponent possible".

 

I don't have any doubt that Paraguay is better than Canada but now it's been a while that Floro started to work this team while Paraguay just wasted their time playing with an interim coach. Ramon Diaz has zero work with Paraguay and if the two played a friendly today, I wouldn't be too surprised if Canada wins.

Hmmm BMO in late march. People have known for a while that BMO was going to be unavailable until May at the earliest in 2015 and 2016 because of construction.

Don't think it would be Rogers Centre. CSA isn't paying for a temp grass surface and at 50 000 it would be way too big. The artifcial turf is also garbage there. Not to mention Jays open 2 weeks later.

There's confirmation that we won't play against Paraguay as their opponents will be Costa Rica on March 27 and Mexico on March 31.

I think a temporary grass surface also may have to be ordered more than a year ahead of time, and I don't know if it would be possible to do in March.
