DJT
Guidelines for this threadIn this thread post match updates on all Canadians abroad for December 5-11, 2014. If you find updates posted in some other thread then post them here as well, but be sure to credit the original poster. If there is news that is particularly significant (eg. someone scores a big goal, someone gets injured, etc.) then feel free to begin a new thread on that topic in order to draw greater attention or start a discussion, but also post that news here. Some comments on news posted in this thread are okay, but let's not let this thread go off into a long discussion. El Hombre
Maybe Edgar just needs to win his spot back. What? Ridiculous! All our players should strive to be the biggest fish in the smallest ponds! Overcome adversity by walking away! We'll rule the Hungarian and Finnish leagues! Havoc88
Holy crap Edgar needs to leave Birmingham. I don't think it's a stretch that the reason he's watching from the bench is justified. I'm with jpg75 - he simply needs to muck in, win back his spot and maybe not be sent off 7 mins into an 8-0 route again.
Levi Oakey
20 minutes for the game: Depor B Vs. UD BarbadásLineup: (4-1-4-1) David Gómez – Adrián, Iago, Róber, Jorge – Piette – Cardoso, Pancho Cotos, Remeseiro, Cañi - Dani Iglesias Bench: Veloso, Callón, Ángel, Kim & Álex Pérez I think that has Piette starting and Riki not in the team.. Could be wrong though. i think David Gomez is http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/david-gomez/profil/spieler/165004
jordan
Aird played in a 1-0 Rangers win, had some good crosses in a pretty terrible game.

Israel Hapoel Beer Sheva 4 - 0 Hapoel Haifa (Ricketts) Just noticed the team Pecs played in Hungary, Puskas Academy, is the youth team of Videoton, the biggest club in Hungary. They both play together in the top flight. That's odd.
king1010
Jakovic seems to be one of the few defenders playing regularly at a high level. Hopefully we see him in WCQ. With their season ending could it be possible we see him at camp bacon? Ps wonder if he has learned to speak japaneese?
tarnado1555362291
Turkey Besiktas 3 - 0 Trabzonspor Atiba went 90 for his club in the win. Portugal Santa Clara 2 - 0 Leixoes Pedro Pacheco SCORED (69') and received his second yellow card in the 81st minute. Uruguay CA Cerro 1 - 3 Fenix Lucas started and was subbed at half time. Barthez-Battalion
I don't know what to think of Ricketts. He works hard and clearly loves playing for Canada, but man he can't even get a goal in Israel. If we want to get somewhere, he can't be our starting striker. Assuming you saw the story where he played in a reserves game against Adekugbe? Random but interesting
Addona
Hume SCORED his 4th today for Kerala in India in a 1-0 win. Has anyone watched games from this league? How is the level?
tarnado1555362291
Hungary - League Cup Haladas 1 - 2 Pecsi MFC Manjrekar played the full 90 minutes. Pecsi get the result in the second leg to move on in the competition. This concludes the first half of the season in Hungary, with a long layoff until league play resumes at the end of February. Maybe we will see James at a camp poutine as a potential player for the Olympic qualifiers. England - Football League Trophy Doncaster 0 - 1 Notts County Petrasso played 75 minutes as his team play Preston North End in the next round. Nesta and Del Piero are playing in it. Its like MLS retirement league on steroids. Are they off in Jan? Wouldn't mind seeing humey in camp. king1010
Borjan on the bench against Real Madrid. Too bad. I feel like these are the types of games Milan excels at and stands on his head.

Wouldn't mind seeing humey in camp. Yes, I noticed that Del Piero is playing there and that he is not scoring the way he was in the A-League ... gives me some hope that the level is reasonable. I think someone posted that the ISL season was very short, and is basically over. Hopefully that means that Hume can sign with someone in League 1, or maybe in SPL over January. For some reason I want to see him in the SPL. Just sounds so much more sexier than League 1. Even better if hes scoring goals in the SPL.
Obinna
Agreed, I'd rather see him in a top flight, even if the level is similar to league one. With his experience and reputation, he could find himself with a decent team in that league. Might even get into Europa league that route, who knows? Even better if hes scoring goals in the SPL. If he was in SPL we could have a few Canadian players there. If Rangers move up to SPL, Aird would be there, Luca Gasparotto might make an appearance. Seems like Carreiro is going to get some time with Dundee. Terry Dunfield is with Ross County, but not playing much. If Hume were there then many games would feature a Canadian. They're cemented in 2nd place behind heart and don't look like they're catching them. So they will have to play the 4 team playoff for 1 promotion spot. (still lots of time to catch 1st though)
beachesl
Atiba Hutchinson not playing or on bench for Besiktas against Tottenham, am watching now. I believe he is injured, if I recall an earlier post here. They are missing his organization and distribution in the middle for sure, Spurs having most of the play, Betsiktas only sitting back and waiting for counter so far. Edit: I could not fid any reference to Atiba being injured now, so maybe, if the January transfer to West Ham reports are true, he is being sat out for this barely essential match (Besiktas has qualified for the next round anyway) as part of the deal. Who knows?
