Standout preformance against Arsenal in CL qualifying. Gained accolades from Arsene Wenger. Most influential midfielder for CMNT. Johnson - Captian of solid Portland Timbers team that narrowly missed out on playoffs. Played in a 3rd MLS All-star game. Led all Canadians with in MLS in goals, assists, and maybe minutes despite injury. A distant second to Atiba for lack of CMNT appearnces (is his eligibily in question as a result?) Edgar - played a (very) limited role in Burnley's run to EPL promotion. Key piece in Birmingham City's defence until recently. Emerged as the most dependable CB for the CMNT. Fantastic strike in 3-1 friendly win over Jamaica. If Johnson isn't eligible (which I suspect), Edgar gets pushed up to second, and third becomes... Borjan - Made Champions League debut against Liverpool, drawing positive reviews despite injury time blunder. Multiple sublime outings in goal for CMNT. Hutch or Edgar at 1 and 2 for sure, but 3rd is a puzzler, least to my mind. Have to go back throught the calender and see who sticks out most over the year. Stay tuned.
