Sounds like the Fury are letting registered soccer players 14 and under attend games for free. Good strategy to get the soccer mom / kids crowd to TD Place. I imagine they are hoping that turns to extra $$$ once those players are 15 and up.

Fury FC President John Pugh announces all players with partnered clubs will get free tickets for players 14 & under

Great article and exciting for Misik, I missed this signing all together. Too bad Floro hates the NASL the same way the Caps hate Canada and he'll never play a game for the NT. Just kidding I hope Patryk gets a chance to play in either the PanAm games or Olympic qualifying.

Too bad indeed lol.

Great too see this happen. It's a clear example of the value pro clubs bring to developing national team players. I'm looking forward to following him in Ottawa this year.

He has to be one of the best midfielders in the league now, and honestly, because he didn't sign with one of the powerhouse teams he'll still be playing games against decent competition when he plays against NYC, Minnesota, and San Antonio. They are all pretty decent teams close to MLS standard.

kind of random but I've got an open question... If the Fury were to sign DeRo now as well, how far away would they be from being considered an elite NASL team?

If you consider TFC an elite NASL quality team a signing of DeRo plus DeGuzman would make the Fury an elite team in NASL.

lolz.

The only person who's really made the link between DeRo to Fury was Two Solitudes, but I haven't heard much of it otherwise, it's been mostly all about JDG the last two weeks. If DeRo did sign, then that would definitely give us contender status for a top 4 spot... if he didn't tear up the locker room or anything.

Wrote a little article on the perspective from the Fury's midfield. He's most likely going to take the RCM position in the 4-3-3, supplanting Misik or Paterson. I would like to see him play DM and have Richie Ryan play RCM as an alternative though.

Possible XI?

Peiser; Richter, Rafael Alves, Falvey, Randolph; De Guzman, Ryan, Ubiparipovic; Haworth, Wiedeman, Paulo Jr.

Would be nice to see another couple Canadians starting for Ottawa but that's a pretty decent squad.
