DJT
Guidelines for this threadIn this thread post match updates on all Canadians abroad for October 31 - November 6, 2014. If you find updates posted in some other thread then post them here as well, but be sure to credit the original poster. If there is news that is particularly significant (eg. someone scores a big goal, someone gets injured, etc.) then feel free to begin a new thread on that topic in order to draw greater attention or start a discussion, but also post that news here. Some comments on news posted in this thread are okay, but let's not let this thread go off into a long discussion. If the news already appears in another thread (as per the previous bullet) then post your comments in that other thread, otherwise if you want to say something significant or if it is likely to generate replies then begin a new thread. Barthez-Battalion
Randy Edwini Bonsu played the last ten minutes for Stuttgarters Kickers, who drew 1-1 with Dresden. Good thing was they were down 1-0 when he came on.

England - League One Crawley Town 1 - 1 Crewe Haber came on in the 88th minute. Leyton Orient 2 - 2 Coventry Jackson was a 80th minute substitute. Barthez-Battalion
From what I gather, he is with Herediano's reserve team and is working his way back to the first team. Does anyone know what is exactly written? I can read Spanish well enough but I'm not 100% sure. I'm not fluent either but will give it a crack: The player Kevin Aleman has continued to play at the high level of Club Sport Herediano with the idea of returning to his level and playing with the first team. Aleman was the goal-scorer recently with the youth team (reserve team?) when they beat the same type of side from Muncipal Perez Zeledon.

shamrock
Portugal Trofense (Hamilton) 1 - 1 U. Madeira Spain Coruxo (Fisk) 0 - 3 Zamora Hamilton did not come off the bench for Trofense. They are last in the stance right now, not looking well. Fisk got another 22 minutes plus injury time, he seems to be their #12 guy at the moment. xcalibre
Lucas Birnstigl had a bit of a nightmare for Montrose last weekend and won't be returning: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/opinion/sport/record-fc-spfl-curious-case-4543222 Talk of "starting again" in Canada but I don't think that has any basis. Although NASL might be a good place for him to find his feet again?

Lord Bob
Poor guy, but I don't think a keeper who can't catch the ball has a place in the NASL or, indeed, professional soccer.

shermanator
Can't imagine there is any room for Birnstingl in Edmonton or Ottawa next year. Maybe at a 3rd stringer in Edmonton if Parker leaves and Smits / Farago both re-sign.

shamrock
If he got homesick I can understand, but taking the first flight after you make a huge blunder? It's Scottish League Two for christ's sake, it's not that anyone would notice. Should have just stayed there and try to work his way up the ladder.
