Also in England on tuesday:

Edgar played 90 minutes in an away los at Blackburn (Championship).

Simeon Jackson got 26 minutes for Coventry. They lost 4-1 at Oldham Athletic and are dropping on the League One table fast.

And in Concacaf Champions League, Kofi Opare as well as Kyle Porter featured for DC Uniteds win over Tauro. Both went 90 minutes.

^ I think mostly because other guys are better.

That was certainly true during the semi final stage of WCQ, but outside of that he missed a lot of time due to injury.

IIRC - the major injury was the hamstring. He went down in the first half of the Ecuador match, which was our warm up for Gold Cup 2011. He was our projected starting CB (along with McKenna) and Edgar was actually the beneficiary. In fact, Edgar wasn't even on the 23 man roster until Dejan went down.

Outside of that, he often missed a cap here or there due to minor injury set backs. At DCU it was the same thing. You look at his games per season and it was quite low, but he was virtually a starter for his entire time in Washington when available.

All in all, I think he would be closer to 30 caps if he had stayed healthy.
