"The fixture follows victorious England’s Four Nation Tournament campaign – during which the U20s beat Germany and hosts Holland, before securing the point they needed against Turkey to win the competition.

The U20s' last game on home soil was a 6-0 victory over Romania at Telford in September and Boothroyd will be looking to continue his unbeaten run."

Gulp.

This will be a great test of Canada's program: most of our best prospects are on this U-20 team. Carducci, Farmer, Gasparotto, Adekugbe, Gagnon-Lapare, Boakai, Gonzalez-Froese, Petrasso, Larin, Beland-Goyette, Carreiro, Aparicio, Hamilton.

Don't see anyone turning down this opportunity!

Hopefully it doesn't get in the way of anyones club commitments, could be a great test of the above names. We could actually put out a really promising team too. This list above is an exciting one and you can still add the likes of Alderson, Aird, Comsia and Bustos (easy now..too soon, too soon).

It's during an international window and it doesn't look like anyone will be held back unless it's Adekugbe or Froese with Vancouver.

Alderson is a 94

Add Haynes and Jalali.

You would think that it would be shown in England so should be able to find a stream.

I don't think so. The U18 and U20 categories are not highly regarded in Europe. If it was U21 or U19 if would have a much better chance of a stream.

Lots of firepower and experience on this team.

--------------------Hamilton---Larin

-------------Aird---Carreiro---Boakai---Petrasso

--Adekugbe---Gasparotto---Farmer--GagnonLapare

----------------------------Carducci

I don't think you can have both Carreiro and Boakai in central midfield and be able to defend adequately. I would move JGL into CM in place of Carreiro and put Comsia or another defender in at RB.

These hypotheticals looks nice and all but lets remember:

1. Most teams we will play in u20 qualifying will have numerous players getting regular first team minutes in high level domestic leagues - for the most part, we will not.

2. Potential still is only potential. There's nothing stopping a lot of these guys from dropping off the earth in 2 years. as we have seen so many times in the past.
