It's possible the players themselves didn't want to be property of TFC given the treatment of other draft picks/home grown players.

 

Exactly, I remember Allando Matheson saying something along the lines that he was glad he wasn't tied to TFC

 

Speaking of rankings how is Matheson nowhere to be seen? I would think that by his senior year he would be on MLS draft watches.. still expect him to get drafted. 

 

Funny also to see these kids in college as typical Canadian players.  Chapman listed as a defender even though he's played striker and midfield as well and then you have Larin listed as a midfielder although I assume he's been primarily a forward.

Senior D Jordan Murrell started, played 90 minutes and had an assist in Syracuse’s 3-0 win against Niagara on Aug. 29. He also started, played 77 minutes, scored a goal and had an assist in a 3-0 win against Saint Mary's (CA)(m) on Aug. 31.

 

Freshman D Kevon Black started and played 110 minutes in Duke’s 1-1 draw against Loyola Marymount on Aug. 29. He also started and played 56 minutes in an 8-2 win against Stetson on Aug. 31.

 

Senior F Allando Matheson came off the bench and played 23 minutes in Connecticut’s 3-2 loss against Coastal Carolina on Aug. 29. He also came off the bench, played 30 minutes and had an assist in a 3-0 win against Stony Brook on Aug. 31.

 

Sophomore F Sergio Camargo came off the bench, played 44 minutes and had an assist in Coastal Carolina’s 3-2 win against Connecticut on Aug. 29. He also came off the bench, played 61 minutes and had an assist in a 3-2 loss against Maryland on Sept. 1.

 

Vancouver Whitecaps

Sophomore F Brody Huitema started and played 72 minutes in Duke’s 1-1 draw against Loyola Marymount on Aug. 29. He also started, played 41 minutes, scored a goal and had an assist in Duke’s 8-2 win against Stetson on Aug 31.

 

Sophomore GK Sean Melvin started, played 90 minutes and made two saves in UNC Wilmington’s 2-0 win against High Point on Aug. 29. He also started, played 106 minutes and made four saves in a 2-1 win against UNC Greensboro on Aug. 31.

 

Junior GK Callum Irving started, played 90 minutes and made three saves in Kentucky’s 1-0 loss against Wright State on Aug. 29. He also started, played 90 minutes and made two saves in a 2-0 win against Belmont on Aug. 29.

 

Junior MF Ben McKendry started and played 90 minutes in New Mexico’s 1-0 win against Akron on Aug. 29.

 

Sophomore D Quinton Duncan started and played 82 minutes in Tulsa’s 1-0 loss against Saint Louis on Aug. 29. He also started and played 101 minutes in a 2-1 win against SIUE on Aug. 31.
