hamiltonfan
Let the planning begin. Perhaps we try something knew. Song list at respective times to get everyone on same page? Capo across the entire south end? Massive Tifo? Flares & Smoke? Cucumbers for all…? Lets get the ideas roll folks!
Bully
A giant Canadian passport being passed around. In all seriousness though, I'm hoping to be in T.O for this game.. is it frowned upon to bring a bunch of noobs into the supporters section? Shall I take them (4-5 friends) elsewhere? Sébastien
In my experience, everyone who cheers for Canada is more than welcome in the supporters' section. If anything, it would be more about whether your friends have anything against standing and singing during the whole time the game's going. When I brought newbies to watch a game with the Voyageurs, they absolutely loved it. But that's probably not everyone.

Do NOT abuse the power of the Cucumber.

Quite the contrariety, bring em all and then more! For anyone involved with the Montreal Ultras and Ottawa Support groups....any thoughts of gauging the interest in organizing a bus? The Montreal Ultras seem to get pretty rowdy, would be great to have them come down.

-Hammer-
I'm hoping to head to this game, but I don't know if I'll be hitting up the supporters section. This would be my first national team game, so I think my desire for chair and malted refreshment might take priority.

hamiltonfan
Less than a month away and minimal planning...lets get the ball rolling. Pregame - should we join the RPB @ shoeless joes? Seems reasonable...if we can agree on this lets blast it out on the social media accounts V's Flags - bring em out, I know we all have one or two from the WCQ run Tickets - Sell! Sell! Sell! Any word on the out-of-town support groups joining the fun (Mtl, Ottawa)?

Any word on the out-of-town support groups joining the fun (Mtl, Ottawa)? Wish I could be there. (I live in Victoria). My friends and I drove down to Seattle for the Canada-Mexico game in Seattle and had a great time. This seems to me to be a key game in a lot of ways. If (when!) we win it should have a bigger than normal swing in the FIFA rankings (if you look at what games are due to be dropped off over the next months -- Jamaica had a strong run in 2010); it's our first of at least two (and hopefully more) friendlies against CONCACAF hex-level opponents, who are exactly the ones we need to beat regularly; and, hopefully a win drags Hoilett off the fence (assuming he doesn't accept a call to play for us… Ha!) Can't wait to see the roster Floro puts together.

Any word on the out-of-town support groups joining the fun (Mtl, Ottawa) Tough to get excited over a friendly against Jamaica in Toronto, it is essentially a home game in Kingston without the cachet of Negril being near by. Driving from Ottawa to Toronto then back on same day means leaving at 2pm, getting to BMO at 6pm..oh wait traffic on the 401,,, and Don Valley could be mess better leave before noon to be sure to avoid rush hour... then game till 9pm out of TO at 10pm to drive five hours after beer etc. to get home at 2 a.m. or later ? I will go when it is a meaningfull game...i.e. u20 girls in World Cup. I can watch Floro and his choices on TV and drink cheap Duro wine in my fav grog shop instead. ClashCitySoccer
I don't know about you, but I'm very excited to see the MNT play on home soil. It will be our first chance to see them since the Cuba game that seems so long ago. I'll be bringing 15 friends, half newbies, and they are really looking forward to joining the Voyageurs and supporting our team. Cant Wait!!
