Blackdude
I know that Grizzly will love trolling this post. But anyways. Some guy named Duane Rollins tweeted this. "Good time to note: Costa Rica is playing Canada in Toronto this fall." https://twitter.com/24thminute/status/477914146793459712 Looking at CRC dates. They won't be able to play in September because of Copa Centroamericana. They'll be free in October 6-14 window. Although TFC plays at home on the 8th. They'll also be free in November prior to Canada's match on November 18th (window starts on the 10th)
Ivan
I read somewhere (an interview with Montopoli??) that Canada will shortly announce another friendly in October. Maybe this is it?
Lord Bob
You know I hate the Toronto-centrism of our degraded men's team but it'll be pretty exciting to host the 2014 World Cup champions.

Sport Shaman
Another CMNT game at our home pitch is pretty exciting. Do we really have only one home pitch in this vast country?? I was pretty sure that the CMNT played a game against a team from Costa Rica last year somewhere within the borders of our country that wasn't called BMO Field. Obinna
I have a better question, why do we always complain when games are in Toronto? Get over it people. Besides, we'll probably call up at least 5 guys from TFC, think of all the costs were saving in travel
Trillium
Once Ottawa installs natural turf, the location can become standardized in the National Capital for the Women's and men's team for all friendlies. WWC qualifiers should go North in the Yukon for games vs all teams. Let's make it a real adventure to play Canada.

trueviking
Sadly, for some reason in one of the richest nations on earth the cost of maintaining the playing surface that the highest level of game is to be played on is prohibitive. This has left us with only two international calibre soccer stadiums in the entire country.

Massively ironic that this comment comes in a thread about Costa Rica, a country that just qualified for the World Cup quarterfinals and plays all of its home games on an artificial surface. Costa Rica played all of its home games on grass at their new Estadio Nacional built in 2011. So where's the irony?

Well, if we're both being accurate, the hashtag would be #postsfrom2011, if your info is correct. In either case, it's evident that the trend is towards more high quality synthetic surfaces, not less.
