footballcoachnl
Im surprised that Japan didnt make it.. their program is pretty good at senior level but havent follow it at youth ranks.. Colombia supposed to have a decent women program.. they might be instead of paraguay Looking forward to this tournament for sure!
Olympique_de_Marseille
Im surprised that Japan didnt make it.. their program is pretty good at senior level Ya that was a surprise for sure. The strong showing by the South Koreans + the draw against China got to them. The Chinese really snuck into 3rd on goal difference. Even the North Koreans didn't have as good a goal difference. Outside of Myanmar and Australia the top 4 in AFC are really balanced. OFC winners (always New Zealand) should be forced to play the 4th place in AFC because a team like Japan shouldn't be excluded when when a weaker team like New Zealand makes the cut. The Ref
The way women soccer has advanced it is time for Fifa to expand the u20 to 24 teams. That will be a great benefit for the senior teams by preparing more young players for the toughest of competitions.
xabuep2
If FIFA uses the same criteria like in U17 Women World Cup Costa Rica 2014 of seeding the regional champions the pots would look like this: Pot 1: CAN - USA - KOR - FRA Pot 2: GER - ENG - FIN - NZ Pot 3: MEX - CR - BRA - PAR Pot 4: GHA - NIG - PKR - PRCH Best group : Canada, Finland, Paraguay , China PR Worse group : Canada, Germany, DPR Korea, Brazil But if FIFA includes Brazil among the seeded team , it would look like this : Pot 1 : CAN - USA - FRA - BRA Pot 2 : KOR - PKR - PRCH - PAR Pot 3 : GER - ENG - FIN - NZ Pot 4 : MEX - CR - GHA - NIG Best group : Canada, Paraguay, Finland, Ghana Worse group : Canada, Korea, Germany, Nigeria If New Zealand is paired in a pot with UEFA teams , Canada will not face them. Olympique_de_Marseille
Colombia supposed to have a decent women program.. they might be instead of paraguay http://www.cbf.com.br/Not%C3%ADcias/2014/01/28/Brasil%20goleia%20Col%C3%B4mbia%20-%206%20a%200%20-%20e%20garante%20vaga%20no%20Mundial%20do%20Canad%C3%A1%202014 They had some hope, but no longer. It's confirmed: Brazil and Paraguay are going. After a nil-nil draw in the group stage against Colombia, Brazil manged to win 6-0 against them this time to qualify in style. Paraguay also destroyed Bolivia 5-0. Blackdude
Here's an interview with Beverly Priestman. Wrong team. She coaches the U17 team, not the U20 team, which is coached by Andrew Olivieri.

Olympique_de_Marseille
HAHAHAHA, what a terrible ceremony...........cheezy music and video + Jacinthe Taillon just said we had 12 provinces and territories. FAIL. EDIT: ...OMG this is going downhill...Senator Jacques Demers making political jokes and saying that this kind of event is important to keep kids off the street. He said he had a speech but didn't follow it.

Olympique_de_Marseille
Canada's group: A1 Canada A2 Ghana A3 Finland A4 Korea DPR A good group. Not a group of death. If there is a European team we can win against, it's Finland. Group B: China Germany USA Brazil The "group of death" Group C: England Korea Republic Mexico Nigeria Group D: France Costa Rica Paraguay New Zealand. Cakewalk for France the "easy" group. My dream of supporting North Korea can finally be realized. LOL. We should hire the services of a translator and make fake North Korean style propaganda signs. Raven
So we finish 1st or 2nd in our group, and we have the joy of meeting USA/GER/CHN/BRZ in the Quarter-finals?? Likely USA or Germany in my book.

Likely USA or Germany in my book. Yup. We could finish first in our group and still play the US if they finish second behind Germany. In our group, the North Korean team will be very tough; North Korea will see this as a way to prepare a cohort who will be of prime age come the WWC in 2019. Vic
Having Ghana and North Korea in our group, and FIFA with a proper age verification process for males but nothing for females, we should be training against adult women because that's what we'll likely be playing.
