CSL to partner with brand new soccer league

soooo let me get this straight...

A fledgling "professional" league run by Matt Driver will try

to get sanctioning from an organization used for the amateur

leagues, and will ignore the internationally recognized USSF,

which could possibly make it a rogue league. This might make

its players ineligible for international duty, which will

hamper its ability to attract players.

They will partner with the CSL, which has lost its sanctioning

due to the recent match fixing scandal, which will in turn rub

some of its stink onto APS. CSL has also latched onto a rogue

sanctioning body, which will probably hamper its ability to get

good players. Not to mention the CSL's ethnic teams, which

tastelessly refight the Serbia-Croatia conflict twice a season.

Does APS really want to be associated with the CSL?

The CSL runs its season from April to October. The APS will run

its season August through June. Somehow these two leagues will

have a championship series.

Color me skeptical that this will turn out well for either

league.

Who is Matt Driver? I seriously don't know a lot about the character and I do wonder if he's just someone that is perfect to put himself alongside the CSL brass.
