German Regionalligas:

Nord:

Canizales-Smith played the full 90 again in a VfB Oldenburg victory at Braunschweig 2. Oldenburg is now second in the league table with 2 points behind VfL Wolfsburg 2.

West:

Samuel Piette got the start and finished the game as well. Duesseldorf won another away-game, it was a derby against Schalke '04-2 and a rather spectacular one as Fortuna won 2-4. They are fifth in the R-Liga West right now.

Suedwest:

Wormatia Worms drew 0-0 at home. That's disapointing really as they are still in the relegation zone and need wins instead of draws. But Lucas Menz got his first shutout and that will possibly contribute in holding that starting spot between the posts. Worms need to win some games though, or it will be a very long season for the Rheinland-Pfalz-outfit.

Bayern:

Augsburg 2 also drew 0-0 at home, which sucks against lowly SV Heimstetten. But Stanese got the start again, he played the full match. And Caleb Clarke got off the bench in the 62th minute, needless to say he didn't score. But both young Canadians getting lot's of minutes down there, wise choice especially from Clarke who was wasting time in Van.

I would highly recommend watching the full highlights package from this game. It was bananas. The ref missed three handballs in the area.

Unless he switched up at some point in the game though, Hutch was slotted at left back at the start.

Cavallini not on the bench at Nacional. So he's either injured (which is bad) or has fallen of the chart (which is worse). I hope anyway that he's considering another half year loan for the clausura. He's not progressing like this.

He's fallen off the chart. Cavallini trained with Nacional last Thursday. In a scrimmage between starters and reserves, he came on as a sub in the 2nd half as a substitute for the reserves team. Very, very concerning in my opinion.

Not sure whether this counts but sounds like Aird did a great job today in the Rangers FC 6-1 drubbing. Gasparatto did not feature. No goals scored by Aird, but was in the thick of things quite a bit by the sounds of their twitter feed. Should we even be following Aird on here, though?

I don't think we should. At the risk of upsetting Jordan on here, it seems like the CSA really rolled out the red carpet for him to be apart of the program last summer and he declined. I'm not sure why we should be going out of our way to court him when he obviously has other plans.

Who is Jordan?

Anyways, I do stand on the same way on Aird, unless we see him with Canada, he shouldn't be featured as a Canadian. I feel the same way about people who have turned down calls because on multiple occasions or who have played for other countries.

Cool cool. Call that one an update that Gasparatto did not play.

Caleb Clarke SCORED the second goal for Augsburg II who beat Bayern II 3-1. That's now five goals for Clarke in the Regionalliga.

Stanese also played. He got subbed off in the 83rd minute, but looks to have taken one of the starting CB-spots.

I disagree on Aird. He's available to the squad until he makes his debut for Scotland 1 (if ever). I don't have any problem with declining call-ups, but I would like to see him choose Canada in the end (especially since Scotland has a lousy team as well).

So, it was okay to talk about Jonathan de Guzman when he was playing for the Dutch youth sides? If Aird wants to play for Canada, he would need to sign a paper that would put him ineligible for Scotland. So, unless he does something like that, he shouldn't be put in the same way for that reason.

He's a poster here who has reported on Aird in the past. He's given the Voyageurs some stick in the past for our treatment of players who seemingly aren't interested in playing for Canada.

Who are the other players? When was the last time I posted about him, I post about Gasparotto. I support Rangers so the fact there is a couple of Canadians there is exciting to me. I defended the fact he didnt close the door on Canada.
