If it's the same Cornerstone that I remember from living in St. John's, then it's at the corner of George and Queen downtown, about 2 blocks away from Mile One. Like many of the establishments on George Street, it shares the building with another bar. They share the building with the Cotton Club (the aforementioned XXX club).

Sorry boys... Gracies is out for this one.

Premium Sports, the company that's in charge of commercial sales for products like Centre Ice and UFC quoted us a price of $1180 + tax for SW for July, August and September. Unfortunately it's based on capacity and not actual projected sales or attendance and I can't justify spending that for the Gold Cup. We'd have to sell $1200 each game just to break even. Our best attended game at Gracies during WCQ we didn't sell more than $500.

My liver's been in training for 2 months just for this, but I don't think I'd be able to drink enough for you to break even. Close, but not quite.

Ottawans: my choice would be the Georgetown then, but that's for entirely selfish reasons. Open to anything except Vanier.

Ok Matt thanks for trying. Shame the channel cost so much.

I suggest we go to Heart & Crown in the Byward Market. I have found that in the past the Georgetown has not been particularly welcoming (although some in the Bytown Boys like it). I've simply gone to the Georgetown in the past due to its proximity to Carleton University. Thoughts?

EDIT: El Hombre votes for Georgetown.

EDIT 2: Let's just make the venue the Georgetown for this one. The Bytown Boys are having their monthly meeting there right after the game and I've called them so we are guaranteed the big screen.

That really sucks, Matt. But I completely understand the business decision. This is all down on Sportsnet.

See everyone at the Georgetown on Sunday.

I'm guessing Toronto will be the Duke of Gloucester, as per usual.

They have Sportsnet World, so I can guarantee there will be some Voyageurs there.

649 Yonge St. (2.5 blocks south of Bloor)

I'll be coming out. First bar experience for me. I turned 19 a few months ago.

Re: Toronto viewing

The (valid) point was raised to me today that the Duke may not actually get Sportsnet World in the summertime (not worth the investment for them) - plus the place is a dive (in every positive and negative sense of the word).

So an alternate meeting spot is Scallywags, 11 St. Clair Ave. W. (Yonge & St. Clair).

Dunno which one I'll be at, but it will definitely be one of them.

Anyone else see the painful irony in the fact that a place called Scallywag's is LESS of a dive than a place called the Duke?
