Just added my vote and will share the link with my twitter and facebook friends. Hope it works out this time.

I would urge everyone to do the same even if you aren't a video game player. Canada's addition to this game will more than double the current CSA reach/marketing efforts for the next generation of CMNT fans.

I played FIFA World Cup 2006, started with England ended playing with Canada. Recognized a few names when I stumbled upon the Gold Cup robbery of 07, been a fan ever since. Can someone tweet at the CSA? I hope their marketing department doesn't wonder why the CMNT struggles with brand recognition.

So everyone knows. You can download a fan-made team that is pretty accurate and has our jerseys through he creation centre.

Also it looks like the people are reddit.com/r/mls have backed it as well.

I have done the creation center team Canada download, but its not the same as you can not use it as a regular national team in career mode. You can only swap it with any club team in any leagues when you start career mode. There are other restrictions in other game plays which I did not go into top much deeper.

Also sometimes, creation center duplicates players in career mode which is really annoying when making trades.

I like to play "seasons" and you can't use created teams there.

Had to start that thread.

I'm trying to contact the CSA to push the link to their social feed, looking to talk to Max Bell. The TFC Media Manager, Asif is going to call me later today about it. No luck with Whitecaps/Impact head offices.

Lastly - thank you to whoever is responsible for the social media feeds for Voyageurs. Already saw the link!

Problems are

1) how big the roster of a created team can be compared with an in game team, where you can have a huge international squad with lots of reserves

2) Can't play seasons or international duty off created teams

3) Every time Canada does a roster release, you have to redownload the team...recreate the team...find the team. And to do all the work yourself you MUST have the EA paid membership which is not convenient for semi-casual players.

The created team Canada means nothing. The objective here is to reach young Canadians who otherwise wouldn't know about the Canadian MNT. Also, would it be so hard for FIFA to make it so that the Canadian flag comes up when selecting Van, MTL or TOR? How is INDIA in the game and Canada isn't?!

A thing called money! 1 billion vs 35 million. It's a no brainer to add India and China in the game instead of Canada.

Try contacting the media like TSN (DeVos) or Sportsnet (Dobson).

Also, Vancouver is the one that can help the most in this case since EA is their sponsor. Too bad Vancouver doesn't care about this issue, but I am happy TFC is making an effort though.

The FIFA 13 game has sold 14.5 million copies. I'm gonna bet that Canada is very close to India and China in terms of sale by country.. just think of the percentage of those countries that can afford a gaming system it's not a fair comparison.

Do they really have more sales in India than Canada? If so, then I'd also like to know whether they have more sales in Finland than here as well.

But regardless of that, the game already has the top league in the country, they already include one of our stadiums and they develop the game here. Neither of those two countries can claim any of those things.

Indian middle class population is 250 million and it will reach 600 million by 2030. So chances of Indians owning gaming system and PC's is just as good as Canada.

Canada is too small of a market to cater or care about unless soccer becomes number one sport. We're small time players in this global market and this is reason why Canada isn't part of FIFA 13.

I am not sure about sales numbers, but EA has jacked up prices for FIFA 13 in India (so I am assuming sales are going well there).

If you really believe Canada is too small of a soccer market to care about I have a bridge to sell you. Based on what? Our record U20 World Cup attendance, MLS popularity per capita relative to the USA (much much higher), international tournament TV numbers, we sold out a women's friendly FFS do you know how many countries in the world could even come close to that?? Or I could throw out the fact that it's the most played sport in Canada...

Take a walk downtown in any major Canadian city and tell me that soccer isn't big enough to care about here.

but yes, we'll wait until it overcomes global football power markets like N.Ireland and Finland.

I really believe the most important reason for Canada to be in the game is this:

When younger kids are creating their own players for Career Mode and put their place of birth as Canada,

they will then be called up to the Canadian National team.

This will familiarize the general population (of gamers at least) of the players.

Very simple marketing so long as this gets done, players will be much more recognizable (by name at least)

That doesn't mean anything to EA. They only care about making a profit. Indian market is a lot of bigger (and growing) consumer market than Canada.

Until Canada makes to World Cup, there isn't going to be much demand from Canadians who like soccer to pressure EA to put Canada in their games.

Having India in FIFA 13 is just money grab from EA. That's why they're in the game! This shouldn't be hard to understand from business POV.

Now that being said, I want Canada in FIFA 13 and future FIFA games but there isn't much demand for it in our own country (average soccer fan in Canada doesn't care). It's only us (hardcore soccer fans who make up tiny portion of soccer fanbase in Canada) that cares enough to have Canada in FIFA games that we're willing to voice it online and start some sort of campaign.

EDIT: I understand N.Ireland being part of FIFA 13 because they're part of UK (probably EA's biggest market), but I agree with you and I want to know how EA can justify Finland being part of FIFA 13 but not Canada.
