narduch
Though this news deserves its own thread. Former Canadian international Enzo Concina is now an assistant coach at Inter Milan. He moved to Inter from Napoli when Walter Mazzarri was named the new Inter head. http://it.eurosport.yahoo.com/notizie/calciomercato-linter-mazzarri-riparte-zuniga-basta-085240765.html
TFC07
Congrats. Very good news for Canadian coaching community out there. Canada rarely has any good coaches to manage professional clubs. We're so low in quality and quantity in coaches in professional soccer world. Something we need work on to improve the game in this country. 1zzurri
According to the article he is just the guy responsable for making sure players recover from injury smoothly. Not exactly an assistant coach but i guess its a good step.
DigzTFC
These are the type of people I would love to have involved with Board of Directors or the competition committee with the CSA. We need a way for tapping into the resources available.

Not exactly an assistant coach but i guess its a good step. I think that's a mistake. From other articles I've read it sounds like he is described as a 'tactician'. 1zzurri
Perhaps youre correct. According to other articles, he was one of napoli's assistant coaches or trainers. Maybe after he's done with inter he'll come back to the CSA.
Yohan
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/soccer-insider/wp/2014/01/27/d-c-united-opens-training-camp/ *The club is close to introducing a new assistant coach: Enzo Concina, an Italian-Canadian who worked at Napoli and Inter Milan. He will replace Josh Wolff, who moved to the Columbus Crew.
youllneverwalkalone
So Saputo told him to go get some MLS experience before he gets the Impact head job?
xcalibre
Bit of a step down taking orders from Ben Olsen. Enzo's probably more qualified than him to coach a pro team at this point! Still, good to see. Who would've thought we'd be looking at 2 Canadian head coaches and 2 new-ish assistants in MLS this year, none of them at a Canadian team? Yohan
http://www.mountroyalsoccer.com/2015/1/6/7504879/enzo-concina-montreal-impact-assistant-coach-dc-united-inter-milan-napoli To join IMFC as an assistant. And puts fire on Klopas's ass. IMFC using TFC tactic to have the next coach in place in case the current one fails?
shermanator
With Petke's firing today I would argue he would be a great fit at TFC or IMFC. Of course, that would mean the coaching carousel would continue but it's going to continue either way. To think that FC Edmonton has had the most stable coaching staff going into their third year together is mind boggling.

Lord Bob
Except FC Edmonton has been sucking with no real hope of getting better?Did you catch the fall season? Lot of good soccer. (Even in the spring they were better than their record.)
shermanator
That statement shows you obviously have not watched FC Edmonton play, Yohan. There was a vast improvement in their final 15 games of 2014 versus the first 12.

Fussball_eh
I'll take your word for it. Is there a good site to watch NASL games btw? Last year it was a subscription based service called NASL-Live, that ended up costing like 20 bucks for the year. There have been hints that this year it should be free again, but no announcements yet.
