Thunder Bay Chill legacy so far

They Chill are going to be interesting going forward. They have traditionally brought in top NCAA players and a lot of foreign talent. Apparently part of their recent transition is a focus on Canadian players and particularly players from T-Bay.

I think that's positive news.

They fill an important niche in Canadian soccer. By providing uni players (Canadian & foreign) a summer competition they allow the Canadian players a good measure of how they stack up against their competition for the next level while keeping their skills sharp.

Probably the winningest team in Canadian soccer in this century.

You know, you have to give credit. Someone there, running that club, is doing a very good job, year in, year out.

Tony Colistro founded the team and is still involved in its operation. He was one of our three PDL guests on a podcast in April 2016 if anyone is interested. It's episode 76 - http://www.rednationonline.ca/Podcasts2015/FromtheBlackHoleEpisodes75and76.aspx

Thunder Bay Chill, defeated FC Golden State Force 1-0 on Saturday in Thunder Bay, Ontario in front of a franchise record 1,862 fans.

That is over 1% of the population of Thunder Bay. Sounds like the club is doing a great job of getting their name out there. They seem to be building the club the right way.
