Admin
In the end we had about 700 flags. 570 Voyageurs flags and 130 Canada flags. It ending up looking good on TV. But the concept was lost on a lot of people. Lots of people from other sections took flags. Some knew they couldn't use them, just took the flag and left the pole which was pretty crappy. Others just had no idea and they got binned at the stadium. Lots of kids with Voyageurs flags after the game which was good to see.
faidwen
The funniest thing was the lady behind us that said "You know, you are going to have to put those away, and sit down." To which, I calmly pointed to the section description on the boards at the back, and said "No, and I think perhaps you've bought tickets in the wrong area." I then accommodated her by moving over a seat so she could see through a gap in our row. All in all, I think it looked wonderful. I would have liked it if the camera crews had spent some more time panning over the sections. AND, also, I think you might need to purchase or seek contributions to get some more megaphones!!! rob.notenboom
It looked fantastic on TV, however I was disappointed with the number of times the camera went to it over the course of the game. Only a few times and not for many prolonged stretches ... would have been a better spectacle with a little help from the Sportsnet camera director on that one. Didn't see Tuscan in the capo stand until the women ran over at the end of the game, and I was looking for him. Regardless, it looked great when they showed it ... super job everyone. We bought two new megaphones. One was to be used in between 116/117. Our regular capo was super sick, so special thanks to Jeff for stepping in. One of the two megaphones arrived DOA. Admin
I should also add, that we have not been allowed to add capo stands on the other side. It is not by choice we 'neglect' the other sections.
wcs53
The flag display was awesome. My kids will be flying them proudly in Elliot Lake on Canada Day!

Tuscan did an awesome job stepping up without a megaphone and even trying to get the upper west part of 114 going. Not to mention the singing from BMO to Shoeless Joe's and a fair bit of singing at Shoeless Joe's. For those that stepped up and joined in, great job!! I was only able to stay at Shoeless for a bit but there was some great chanting going on the way to and at Shoeless.
theaub
If we're talking about the post game at Shoeless, I don't think it lasted too long anyways (but it was fun while it did) If anyone heard me bitching about that random beer they gave to me in the first half (screw you Stella tap at BMO for not working well), let's just say I think there's a reason it tasted so bad, which was unfortunate for me.
