FC Edmonton to be broadcast on the score

Recommended Posts

Not so much that is on Rogers but that its a "Coast to Coast" deal.

Some may stil say its a bush League, but there appears to be a serious attempt at Sportstelecasting Topiary.

and we can continue to wind up the railhawks for their Folksy webcast ;)

Furthermore, this will further reinforce the perception that Edmonton has (will have) more fans outside of Edmonton than in it.

In short we are now the Manchester United of Canada!

I think you got the words out of order, surely you meant FC Edmonton is the FC United of Manchester of Canada? Sounds more like it

I watched it live using a proxy server and it was good. Too bad there was such a poor turnout though.

Problem was promoting the game with a stand that Prior to thursday had no safety certificate. Ergo no real ramp up in promoting the game as worse case senario would have been 1000 people stood outside whilst man from the Fun Police "he say no!".

Fact that shiny seats could now be seen nationwide might help attract a few more in. Although I think 3-0 on the Silverbacks is a good a Promotion as you can get.

It looked good. Quality was real fine, and the stands look great! It looked like a real stadium, although I think the size of the stands is too big, why not go for 3k and try to sell-out as much as possible. Also the stand at the Endzone looks awkward. But anyway, hopefully now they are going to build on this and get some fans in and some sponsors that want to be on national TV.

Consitution of the NASL requires stadium to hold as close to 5K as possible; and yeah the Endzone stands don't really work for me either, but as Clarke is still a city facility the requirement for Pointy ball has to be retained. So we still have to put up with Lines (which may/ or may not have help with regards to making a monkey out of the silverbacks Goalie for the sending off)for the forseeable future.

There is some scuttlebutt that the field is close to renewal in the next couple of years or so, which would greatly enhance the appearance if the football lines didn't.

End Zone seating sucks looks totally out of place. Grid Iron lines too but oh well. The game was great too bad for the turnout. Hopefully for Next home game they can get 2200+ and continue building

well, if half the blue seats were filled Plus the old stand that would be close to 2000 which would look a lot better. Looking to try to get to tat game myself, If not. the one after

# on a lighter note, on twitter, FCEdmonton Now has an official Supporters group in Northern Ireland!!

I prefer listen to Sandor and friend any day than that guy that does the Whitecaps games. I think Sandor does a good job on color.

Agreed. Hampshire and Sandor sound much more professional than Sportsnet's Whitecaps crew.
