Sven Habermann was on Dragon's Den this week and got all the Dragon's to invest $1 million in a personal safety device. A strobe light, siren, bear spray, pepper spray on a holster. "Wow you're faster on the draw than Clint Eastwood" said one Dragon. It's a people/dog repellent.

Sven Habermann (born November 3, 1961 in West Berlin, West Germany) is a former Canadian national soccer team goalkeeper, who was a member of the team that competed at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California. Two years later he was on the Canadian roster at the 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico but did not see action.

Habermann played for the NASL Toronto Blizzard in 1983 and 1984.

Habermann played (at least) 1987 in the Canadian Soccer League for the Calgary Kickers. He was named to the league's All-Star team as Calgary won the league play-off championship over the Hamilton Steelers.

I used to know Sven for a time and that guy could sell ice cubes to the Inuit in December, so I am not surprised he got the deal. A really fun guy. Should have gone into soccer commentating.

It was an interesting pitch for a pepper spray canister with some additions. Although I believe pepper spray is illegal in Canada for regular folks, the appeal for the U.S. is huge.

He appeared very nervous, but won out in the end!

Hate to spoil it but after the show his board of governor's decided to not take the deal due to the new evaluation so the deal was nixed.

I sure thought going from 10% -> 25% seemed like quite a jump.
