Interesting 0-0 draw. Mexico should have been awarded an obvious penalty that went uncalled. I was searching for highlights of the match and came acccross this footage from the stands at Azteca; notice the rows of riot police. I always wondered what it would be like to take in a game at Azteca.

I think a game at Azteca would be a intimidating; I would honestly be scared to wear non-Mexican colours.

Prior to the CR match, the USA's didn't seem like the happiest of camps. I think this is a good read:

TFC fans should note the description of Klinsmann, since he was the consultant who recommended the previous regime at the club, as well as the resentment towards the growing German-American contingent. Granted, Klinsmann didn't have Chandler and Williams because of injury (ditto Jones after the CR game) but the bulk of his squad for these two matches had current or past MLS connections. You wonder if he had had all his German-Americans available would he have started them: don't know.

I do love Klinsmans reaction to the those who question his methodolgy.

Its basically "Oh yeah? well show us yer medals then?"

Makes me feel nosalgic for those old radio boxing commentaries from the 1920's..you know the ones.... "Klinsman verses Dempsey"
