Mr.Impact
The club has gone with Quebec based NEXXFIELD from Solpro. That is amazing news as team officials say it is state of the art, and probably the best artificial turf in the league. Can't wait to see it on Saturday. http://www.nexxfield.com/en/news.php?id=
Lord Bob
To be fair, I've never heard a team official say "yeah, our artificial turf is going to be crap, but at least it's also cheap."
Greatest Cockney Rip Off
Is this currently installed or what they will be changing it to?
Mr.Impact
It's installed and ready for Saturday's game. @Lord Bob It's probably BS (i.e. best surface in the league), I'll save judgement till I see it live. The biggest news here is the fact that the club went out and replaced a surface (in it's secondary home nonetheless), that clearly needed to be replaced. That being said, I can't wait till we return to our all natural, pristine playing surface at our SS stadium. ;-)
Admin
That's good news. Safer for the players I hope.
MM2
Considering that the old turf was one of the worst in the league, it has to be an improvement

shermanator
Do I see temp stands behind the goal? Were those there last year?
tmcmurph
Given their Italian take on soccer and players I'm surprised they didn't go with Limonta and their corkonut infill. One of if not the best out there for fake turf. http://www.limontasport.com/WIP/eng/sport_turf_soccer_references.php At least they got rid of the old crap. Maybe they didn't want to spend a lot because the A's would chew it up with the pointy ball games.
Olympique_de_Marseille
Well, are they going to keep this through the WWC in 2015? All stadiums will be required to have turf which is why Moncton is getting rid of their grass. I guess it makes sense to re-turf with a "new technology" like from NEXXFIELD from Solpro now, so if it's sh*te, they can replace it in time. Blackdude
Do I see temp stands behind the goal? Were those there last year? Only for games that sold enough to add them. ie. the home opener and the game against LA Galaxy.

Murph keep in mind it's for our secondary field, and at least they gave the contract to a Canadian company.
