Man Jackson and Occean have slipped off the radar. Klukowski and Nakajima-Farran both got playing time in Cyprus this weekend. Klukowski played the full match and Issey got on in the second half, in the 60th minute.

Both their teams won, APOEL and Klukowski's 2-0 win put them 1st in the Cypriot league right now. There's only 2 games left to play, so they are guaranteed top 2. For the record, not sure what they are doing for 2013-14, but the top 4 Cyprus teams got a shot at European football for 2012-2013. One team got into the Champions League (AEL Limassol) but were knocked into Europa in the playoff round right before the group stage, after successfully getting through 2 qualifiers previous.

AEL LImassol enterred at the group stage, and finished last in their group, garnering 4 points.

As for Europa, the third and fourth place Cyprus teams got in at the 2nd qualifying round. Both won and got to the third round, joining the 2nd place Cyprus team. At that point only APOEL got into the 4th round (Mike's team),. but they lost in the final qualifier before the group stage.

So hopefully APOEL stay on top, because if they do, Group Stage in europa or maybe even UEFA is a definite possibility at that point :)

(Edit: For the record, Europa group stage also saw Simpson's Young Boys, Kenny's AIK, and Hutch's PSV get knocked out...it's always fun to watch).

In Uruguay First Division Juventud (Cavallini) won 4 - 1 against Cerro.

The match report lacks information, it seems Lucas Cavallini was not in the starting XI, he came in, I don't know when, and he SCORED the first Juventud and also the first goal of the match at '57.

From what I can see on the Cerro website - he did start, subbed out in the 63rd minute.

Jackson not even on the bench vs Southampton. Kamara in the starting eleven, fwiw.

Goes to show that MLS is narrowing the gap between the mid to lower table EPL teams. It is pretty telling that Kamara can walk right into their starting 11. I think most would agree he is a decent to good MLS striker (Certainly not among the elite). Yet he has had three starts in a row while Jackson is not even dressed.

Simeon has to drop to championship or move to MLS I am afraid....

DiChiara was on the bench but did not make the field for Torpedo Moscow as they tied Yenesey Krasnoyarsk 0-0 away in their first match of the second half of the season. Not surprised he didn't play but I think he will get some time this year at least as a sub judging by how they used him in pre-season. He seems to be more in their plans than he was in the plans of Kecskeméti. He is wearing number 99 for Torpedo. A Gretzky tribute?

Just finished watching this game. When Andre came on the commentator said "He's spent most of his career in Canada with Houston of the Eastern Conference MLS." Funny.

I then tried to buy a "Hainault" jersey off the Ross County website but they don't offer personalized jerseys. Booooooo.
