maccaliam
To your earlier question, U16 manager Craig Darymple and U18 Gordon Forrest both have UEFA A licenses. As does Marius Rodve who works with both first team and academy keepers. I don't know how involved they will be, if at all, but if they were to take these teams into the USSDA, I'm sure they would hire new licensed coaches. Nice one, thanks. I was just thinking about how we all keep debating about how much impact our academies will have and yet, there is very little knowledge about just who these academy coaches are and what their qualifications are. maccaliam
The Whitecaps U-14 head coach, Bart Choufour, has a CSA 'A' license. Good stuff. Perhaps this is the way it is for all of our MLS clubs, but I can't say either way. One would hope though. Anyone know any specific qualifications of any of the academy coaches at TFC or IMFC? I had heard a few negative things about TFC, but nothing specific, so it could just have been sour grapes.
Crystalyn
I suppose the question is whether this academy centre actually adds a source of elite training to Saskatoon that wasn't there before, or improves an existing source. Many of the kids in the current academy are kids that have been in the HUSA program and there has even been a difference of what they were doing in the old program vs this new one. It seems to be a combination of what the coaches want to see from the kids, and the level that the kids are at. They push forward and take steps back as needed. I defiantly havent seen a program offered here up until now that rivals it. And Tuscan i am at the soccer center more days then i am not so I'm likely not too hard to run into.
