Don't add it. League Cup games have trialists and it's like Adam Straith or Pierre-Rudolph Mayard last year.

I understand, but when that's the case, they don't usually end up added to the squad on soccerway, am I wrong? I mean either way...sure I'll take it off, but soccerway usually does a good job.

He's there because he played a League Cup match, that allows trialists to play. Socccerway doesn't understand that trialists can play in such games for whatever reason and Inter mentioned on their website that he was a trialist. I haven't seen anywhere that his trial was done, but he hasn't seen the pitch in the last 2 League Cup games and not even mentioned anywhere that he signed a contract.

And if you want to go by that same token, Adam Straith is on KuPS on Soccerway. Is he a member of KuPS? No, we have seen that he has left the club.

According to GISS, Nathaniel Ennis signed with CF Badalona (Spainish 3rd tier), Santino Recine with Novara Calcio (Italian 2nd tier) (wants to play for Italy) and Justin Soscia with Spezia Calcio (Italian 2nd tier). I believe these are youth team contracts as these players are 17 years old.

Peter Iannidinardo signed with Carpi FC in Serie B but looking at his Twitter posts, he got a knee injury and went back to Montreal for surgery. ACP is one of the first academies in Montreal and they have associated with Montreal-North soccer club and will enter a team in the semi-pro league and a U-21 team in the elite league. Their technical director is Edouardo Sebrango.

Alright...I'll at least remember to keep checking on Straith...someone will have to remind me to check on this Kennedy guy though, or I may forget to post him at all if it turns out he IS with Inter, so keep me posted or it will get missed...

Straith is back with Wehen and will be rejoining the team. Most of the time in Germany when a player is removed from the first team it is not very usual for them to be brought back barring major injuries. This implies that Straith was allowed to transfer for financial reasons, ie. with the injury crisis in defence over Wehen was hoping Straith would transfer to reduce their player budget not because they did not think he was a good enough player for BL3. Wehen's coach, "Adam Straith has behaved impeccably and will now be fully reintegrated into the team". This is probably a better result than a transfer to Finland as long as he can get some playing time with Wehen.

I'm always skeptical of news releases from GISS as they have a high rate of error for whatever reason. However, looks like York Region Shooters alum Justin Soscia actually has signed with Spezia until the end of the season:

http://www.cittadellaspezia.com/mobile/La-Spezia/Sport/Spezia-Primavera-Arriva-il-canadese-150533.aspx

He's a '96 born CB and will be joining their Primavera squad (U20).

Justin Soscia - Spezia Calcio (Italian Serie B) (2) Primavera (or U20 if you prefer)

edit: Speaking of sketchy contract signings, Alessandro Riggi appears to be playing for Trento Calcio in Eccellenza which is the 6th tier of Italian football and likely too low for madmonte to track:

I agree, I am glad he is back. This brings the total of Canadians in the 3.Liga to 3.

Transfermarkt.de lists Nika as being back at Eintracht Braunschweig II after his loan. It's not an official source and 6 months loans are unusual in Germany, but if true I am not sure how much playing time he will see for the rest of the season, if any at all. He didn't feature all that much in Leipzig - and while he showed some promise early on while playing for Eintracht's youth that puts him pretty low on the list of potential first-teamers within the team, I fear.

I haven't read through this entire thread, but as I mentioned in the topic Canadians abroad: February 14-20, 2014, Lucas Birnstingl is playing for Queens Park in Scottish League Two (4th). He has dual nationality, German / Canadian.

Have to wonder how he is surviving there.

I don't have a link for this just a friend told me that Milovan Kapor has signed for Cadiz in Spain's 3rd division. Milo Kapor was a college standout at UMBC (captain and led the nation in assists in 2012) and played alongside Pete Caringi there (Impact draft pick). Surprised he never got drafted by a Canadian MLS club but I guess I really shouldn't be since it's become evident that MLS clubs do about as much NCAA scouting as this board.

He's 22... here's a little reel. Kid has good size and some nice technique, who knows where he could go now that he is in the Spanish system and maybe with a little added push from Floro he could move up.

You know you've made it when a guy named "dirtyserb93" approves....

He's listed on the squad in wiki, but as a Serbian. However, he's not on the roster on the Cadiz website:

http://web.cadizcf.com/plantilla/temporada-2013-2014

I guess it is possible he might be on the Cadiz B team which play in the Tercera Group 10, but there is no roster listed for them.

Caniggia Elva, Calgary SW United, starts trial with Arsenal on Tuesday. From club executive: "Caniggia went on trial to Stuttgart Germany, where he has been offered a contract to sign when he turns 18 in July. Since then, there has been interest from Barcelona, Benfica, and now Arsenal."
