mtlfan
The Canadians will then take on Finland on 8 March at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia; before returning to action against the Netherlands to close out group play on 11 March. Mango
Wonderful to see Oduro and Leon on the roster. I thought they stood out during the Four Nations tournament. Agreed about Labbe. Good to see her back in the fold. Back on a media call in December, Herdman talked about the impressive GK depth in Canada: McLeod, LeBlanc, Labbe, D'Angelo and McNulty. Olympique_de_Marseille
Wonderful to see Oduro and Leon on the roster. When you say "wonderful" it makes it sound like it was unexpected. How could they not be there? The interesting choices are the 95's, Ashley Lawrence & Kadeisha Buchanan.

I thought Kailen Sheridan was solid for the U17s last year too... but she's a really long way from being in the mix, obviously.

It's good to see? Maybe the wrong word to use, I guess. Leon has a bright future and it's good to see her name included on the senior squad rosters now. Hopefully she sees a lot of playing time over the next year with the NWSL and the national side. I thought Kailen Sheridan was solid for the U17s last year too... but she's a really long way from being in the mix, obviously. Agreed. She definitely held her own. Blackdude
I see no Chapman. If I remember something about the Cyprus Cup, it`s that you have to name a squad of 21 for the tournament. So I don`t expect Sheridan and Lawrence to play, they`re just there to get experience with the top players.
Joe MacCarthy
Yes, good to see Labbe back in the picture. I was disappointed to see that she had "retired" from the NT, obviously not true. I was disappointed because I thought we were going to lose another good one after Taryn Swiatek left. Labbe was the heir apparent and at one very short point, number one keeper. Add in Sabrina D'Angelo and the position looks good for the next few years, much depth for us. Also want to see more of talented Adriana Leon who may be the combo Tancredi/Sinclair prototype. Loved her first senior NT goal celebration, just walked away as if she'd done it a million times before.
Blackdude
3 players got cut to have a 22 woman roster. Bryanna McCarthy is one of the 3 according to her twitter account.

gringo
Mango I haven't seen the Roster published on the CSA site. If this is a valid roster then I'm shocked that both Bryana McCarthy and Jodi Anne Robinson have been sent home.
Mango
Mango I haven't seen the Roster published on the CSA site. Apologies about the broken link. Looks like its broken on the CSA site too, but it was working earlier today when I followed it from Twitter. Once there's a new one, I'll update my original post. Some teenagers made the cut: Ashley Lawrence and Kadeisha Buchanan. They were definitely the Canadian standouts at the U-17 World Cup.

alberta white
England in the final then after battling back against the kiwis. Strange how the same thing happened in the women's cricket last month. except England didn't make the final;) Anyway, for those unable to watch the game on Friday. I would check the BBC's web radio streams (5live extra) good chance that they may put this on ahead of any championship games, now that there seems to be a genuine push to promote the women's game on the BBC. BBC sports commentaries are often subject to International rights restriction block but its not always automatic. This may be one of the events that would fly under the Radar. If available, the paly by play and colour team are likely to be Male and Female; that been a male and Female Play by Play team (Hazel Irving and perhaps Andy Swiss ?), and an ex-international women player as the pundit. I think we could guarantee that "some call me insufferable" Alan Green would not be slated for this one. Also, Radio commentary is easier to pass of in the office when your working. rkomar
On a non-Canadian note, I see in the Wikipedia page for Cyprus Cup 2013 that France pulled out because there were too many European teams. The reference is a German article, which I can't understand. Anyone here know more about it?

The reference is a German article, which I can't understand. Anyone here know more about it? Who do they want to play Belize? I know they played Brazil twice recently( http://www.womenssoccerunited.com/video/brazil-1-1-france-match-highlights-algarve-women-s-cup-9th-march) and Japan and China are at the Algarve cup but really there is no one else to play. The reference is a German article, which I can't understand. Anyone here know more about it? Well, I can't read German and haven't put the article through Google Translator but it would seem likely that they would want to avoid playing European teams because the Ladies' Euro is this summer in Sweden. This will be the biggest competition of the year for them and they won't want to prep for it by playing their competition. Since they aren't in the Cyprus Cup, it makes sense that they scheduled a friendly against Canada in April.
