Belarus was a good prep game a few years ago when Hainault scored the winner, nice to see us playing them again.

Good opponent. If I remember correctly, last time the venue was an almost empty stadium in Turkey that was later involved in a match-fixing probe. Hopefully both teams will play well, the games will be open to the public and there will be no shenanigans.

Doha > Antalya

So I assume both games will be broadcast on Canada's favourite soccer channel out of Qatar beINsport? :P:rolleyes:

That was the Macedonia game, wasn't it? And then didn't we play someone in Cyprus recently too?

I imagine Dasovic will coach.

If he does I hope its only for this camp. He may have some potential but after seeing his management of the u-20's there is no way he is ready to be considered for the full time job (nor is Pesch). I would prefer to see Miller again for this camp. I think he deserves it. I'm glad the CSA is taking their time on this search. It is absolutely imperative the CSA gets the right man for the full time job this time around. Another sh%t hire could set us back another 2-4 years, again... :(

I agree with everything you are saying, I just think it'll be Daso.

After today's match I'm tempted to drop Jakovic and de Jong, two guys who I generally like but who really didn't impress me vs. Japan. Both have been standouts in the recent past, though, and are young enough and playing high enough professionally to be mid range contributers, so I'd give them the chance to bounce back.

Julian and Nik were okay but we know what they bring (and don't bring) and I would rather see some other bodies in their spot, to be honest. Borjan absolutely needs to sit down after this one so we can see Chencinski in the flesh and blood, and not for some crummy twenty minutes or something.

We should be playing to win vs Belarus, which I think we were vs. Japan too, to Foncesca's credit. I'd like to see a lot of speed out there all at once.

This also might be a good match to have Edgar driving those long hard crosses on the diagonal with Haber in mind. More of those shots from midfield from Johnson and Hutch. I've been calling out for those for years. Give Cebara some decent minutes too. He showed promise of a little something different in attack, like REB.

--------------------------- Chencinski -----------------------------

Edgar --------------Hainault----------- Jakovic --------de Jong

--------------- Johnson--------------- Pacheco -------------------

Ricketts----------------- Hutchinson ------------------ Edwini-Bonsu

---------------------------------Haber-------------------------------

Morgan for de Jong

de Guzman for Pacheco

Cebara for Haber

Jackson for Edwini-Bonsu

Johnson as captain

Small thing: Piette is actually not in camp ... He apparently picked up and injury and was sent back to his club.

Great line up choices.

Interesting to see if Fonseca thinks Cebrara is a target or a winger, because he played LAM last game. I think he did pretty good in that role too considering it was his first international. I wouldn't be upset to see Ricketts dropped, REB shifted, and Cebrara at the LAM role again.
