Max
I know that this topic was on here many many times. We called the team Canada "B", Canada U23 and so on. But after Denmark - Canada game I think that CSA should establish Canada Development Team. Our prospects should play against NASL, MLS and all version of national “B” teams. We don’t have any transition between U20 and MNT. Our Olympic Team can’t count just because it is put together every 4 years.
ray
Yes, over the years several of us have called for the CSA to make use of the winter break to expose players to international action. In the near future we can anticipate many more professionals on this side of the pond as the MLS academies bear fruit and teams like Ottawa join the NASL. The last round of WC qualifying showed that Canada needs to play more often and we badly need depth in our programs. The National Development Team will help address these issues. This winter camp can't be a one-off.
DontPanic
what it needs to be is a team that can barnstorm through central america/carribbean. They have to get used to playing down there.
