Effectively the W League now has incorporated into it a fully Canadian Division.

Central Conference:

K-W United FC

Laval Comets

London Gryphons

Ottawa Fury

Quebec City Amiral

Toronto Lady Lynx

What would be exciting and forward thinking is for the CSA and the various provincial associations to assign at least three players each to the teams ( so 18 players ) between age 17 and 20, and cover the expenses for those players to play.

Its fine to invest in the U.S. based pro-league by assigning National Team players, but it really is the next generation that needs to be invested in, less the women's program become like the men's with no one ready to step up.

Sad to see the Whitecaps leave but very happy about the all-Canadian division. I wonder if this means that we will see a Whitecaps team in NWSL next year?

For the moment, I will definitely catch several Comets games this summer.Saw them play several games in the last two years and was never disappointed.

The Whitecaps plan, from what I have been told is to reevalute the women's team with the goal of reintroducing a womens team in 2015 to coincide with the World Cup. No deceion on what league this team would be in as of yet.
