Red and White
Great news. With Bell and Canadian Tire on board, we may actually get friendlies at home now. Or is that hoping for too much?
ray
I hope this sponsorship isn't going to be just for boosting soccer participation. We need to push elite soccer. Kick-starting the Canadian D3 league might be one alternative.

Anything that will put money towards getting players more friendlies (and 50k would do that for a couple friendlies a year, in terms of travel costs for the players and staff) is lucrative in my book. BringBackTheBlizzard
Even if they Just paid for the flight levy between games it would be a hugh boost. D3 status in Canada means leagues that are primarily local in scope like the CSL in the Golden Horseshoe and the new Quebec league in the Montreal area. There is no regular season air travel at that level of the sport. There might be scope for sponsorship of an end of season national tournament in that regard, such as the ones that already exist at the youth and amateur level.
