It is exactly what it says in the title, but those kids are good. Really good. The video should be up in the next couple of days, but the Eskimos training field had upset staff because so many of us came out to watch this.

I ended up getting my V's scarf signed, and a bloody kit given to me. Yes it was fairly intense, because fifteen to eighteen year old kids want to beat the first team and a capped star.

The kids did win 5 - 4. Yes that is my score, and not the official one. The official one is 4 - 4, but a goal wasn't called for the reserves.

Seeing Rickets in an FCE kit... I want that in a life sized cardboard cut out please. Although a fathead wall sticker would do nicely too.

It may be hard to believe but there were tackles. It was competitive game, both teams trying to win. More than a few shots hit the cross-bars. Ricketts was sprinting, man he's fast.

Is there going to be a two-leg with REB, Sidra.

I did mention a bloody kit. There were hard tackles, but not really dirty plays, just gritty.

You can tell the Senior Selects/780 Best XI were out of shape and underestimated their opponents at times, but a few strikes of startling quality out of the Reserves there.

That second Ricketts goal was hilarious. As soon as the Reserves player botched the clearance every single person who had ever seen Ricketts play thought "oh Jesus that was a mistake, son."
