Olivier Occean starts and goes 87 minutes in Frankfurt's 2-0 win at Wolfsburg, their last game before the winter break. No goals or assists for him but he did have the honour of having his "crown jewels", as Kicker puts it, stomped on by Wolfsburg's Josue, resulting in a red card in only the 16th minute.

Netherlands - Jupiler League

Veendam 3 - 1 Helmond Sport

Jordan Santiago played 90 minutes in the Veendam victory.

Here is the video. Just to avoid any panic, that is Helmond's keeper (and defenders) having a stinker of a day right from the start of the video. Helmond is actually one of the better teams in the Dutch 2nd tier but they certainly didn't show it in this match. Not much Santiago could do on the goal against.

Germany

Hoilett really doesn't seem to be in Redknapp's plans so far and honestly has looked like anything but the saviour for Canadian Soccer that many were hoping even when he was playing, his hat trick in the reserves may serve a bit of notice though!

Ok - let's not knock the kid down too much on this board. He's young - he's got talent and he seems to have his head on his shoulders. Harry will make sure of that. Besides, I suspect that neither 'Arry nor Mark Hughes want to subject a youngster to what QPR has been going through of late. Losing is a bad habit....

Let's keep some perspective on things. Playing a reserve match or two doesn't say very much. If he ain't getting minutes off the bench, then it makes sense that he get some time elsewhere.

If he had his head on his shoulders he would play for his country when they are in WCQ.
