Rob Friend scored a brace in 4th Division today with Eintracht II. As they beat Ulm 4-3.

Also, Occean wasn't on the squad in the 4-0 loss to Fortuna Düsseldorf. Of note, striker Matmour got a red card so it could help a guy like Occean or even Friend to play in the next match.

Borjan played 90 as Sivasspor lost away to Istanbul BB 2-0. Seems like Sivasspor had a bad game as there is a lot of traffic on Borjan's goal and he is saved by IBB players hitting the post or shooting wide. Unfortunately he is a bit asleep on the first goal, I guess he did not expect his player to give the ball away like that but he should have been more alert. No chance on the second goal.

Incidentally, IBB is an interesting team, they have no fans yet they play in Turkey's biggest stadium. The away fans typically outnumber the home fans in their stadium as one can see at the beginning of the game with a large Sivaspor contingent in an empty stadium. IBB's one supporter group is actually known for their humour and has slogans like, Everywhere is away for us and They said there was a game being played so we thought we’d come along. One wonders how a team like this can survive but the games against the big three Instanbul teams pack the stadium with away fans and that is probably enough to fund the team the rest of the time. Also the stadium and IBB are both owned by the city of Istanbul and it often holds big soccer events like Champions League matches of the other Istanbul teams (as well as the 2005 final) and will also be used for the 2016 Euro. So keeping a team there probably makes sense in terms of keeping the pitch and stadium in shape for the big events. Some of you might recognize the other team's keeper who stops a penalty late in the game. It is Portugese national team keeper Eduardo.

Honestly, many keepers of of MLS quality would save both of those any day of the week. Very poor.

Gets caught watching the play on the first (though credit to the attacker for hitting it first time-probably after seeing Milan already way out of position)

And actually makes his body SMALLER, trying to save the second, when the first rule of coming out of your net is to get BIGGER. Instead he does some kind of weird aerial squid dance type thing.

I still think he is decent, but seems to have hit a bit of a plateau as of late.
