Jon Dollery

El Hombre

Recommended Posts

Born in England and is with Crawley Town. Not sure how he qualifies for Canada. Here is his bio from the Crawley site:

"Jon Dollery signed a professional contract with the club towards the end of the 2011/12 season along with Jonte Smith.

Before joining Crawley, Jon played for Leeds United, Brighton and QPR.

He made his senior debut during the pre-season of 2012/13."

Dollery made his debut on loan with Lewes on the 15th of December in 3-6 win over Concord Rangers. He played 90 minutes and scored one goal.

"They put the game seemingly out of reach with 20 minutes to go through Jon Dollery, who lobbed a stranded Tom Lovelock"

I can't find match reports for for Lewes two fixtures after that.

Have to LOVE this article:

The cynic in me says that maybe he'd feel differently if he had just signed with Man U or Chelsea instead of a League 1 side, but still, it's SO great to here this sentiment.

LOL, ok, I just realized that because of that other guy's name in the URL, you can't click on the above link ... but you know where to go.

Edit: Replace the ********* with hargreaves and the link will work.

Left Canada at age 6? Makes you wonder how many Canadian-born kids are out there at European teams and have slipped under the CSA radar. Considering Football Manager has a bunch of new players every year with Canadian second nationality that come out of left field, there has to be loads more.
