Good to see more fields and stadiums opening up. If price is accurate and you look at how its constructed etc. seems a CSL franchise could have SSS with grass at under 2 million, which a lot of communitys can afford. Dump the track and you get a lot of savings.
Trillium
As part of the federal budget.... Finance Minister Jim Flaherty said municipalities wanted more flexibility with how they could spend their infrastructure money, and said more kinds of projects can now be considered. Investments now considered infrastructure for the purposes of drawing from the gas tax fund now include highways, local and regional airports, short-line rail, short-sea shipping, disaster mitigation, broadband internet connectivity, brownfield redevelopment, culture, tourism, sport and recreation. This means if the CSA and Provincials do their jobs right, a lof citys could have shovel ready stadia projects in teh 1000 to 2000 seat category to support D3/D2 soccer in the coming years. And that would go a long way in making the regional D3 leagues successful.
