rob.notenboom
At the end of the Fulham vs. Sunderland match today someone in the stands was showing off a big Canadian Flag. Any connections here?

I suppose there must be ... would be cool if it was someone on here or someone here knew who it was. I can see myself doing the same thing ... might go to a Bayern Munich game in late March ... maybe I will see if I can get a Canada flag on TV. amacpher
If Fulham had a Canadian player it would make sense. But since they don't, why bring the flag of your nationality to a club football match? Seems kind of silly.
ted
If Fulham had a Canadian player it would make sense. Hey, maybe there is an uncapped Canadian playing for Fulham we all missed? Start checking those grandparents!

Perhaps he/she/they are just very patriotic ... it also looked like they were drinking timmies and eating seal blubber.

rob.notenboom
Maybe, a lingering Tomasz Radzinski fanboy/girl. Ha ha ... no doubt ... he did well for Fulham. I saw another Canadian flag in the highlights from Old Trafford from today's Man U - QPR game. The people were shown in the crowd raising it after QPR got their opener (or at least that's where it was included during the highlight package and it was showing the visitor's part of the park), although the people were trying to hold it up quickly and had it upside down and facing the wrong way as they had written on it and the writing was facing them instead of out toward the camera. The writing on it seemed to say something about Toronto and Birmingham but it was obscured by the fact that it was being held the wrong way and also was being furiously shaken. Pretty cool that the maple leaf has been making so many surprising appearances.
Greatest Cockney Rip Off
I was at Craven Cottage last weekend and saw the flag in person. I am guessing they are season seat hold holders. They sit in the Putney End and there are four of the who hold up the large flag every time the ball goes out of play in their end.
Greatest Cockney Rip Off
There is a Canadian flag hanging in the Benfica end at the Europa League final.
rob.notenboom
There is a Canadian flag hanging in the Benfica end at the Europa League final. Cool. I would love to know who these people are just for the sake of knowing. I was at Bayern Munich's 9-2 demolition of Hamburg a month and a half ago and was going to bring my Canadian flag, but I was back on the mezzanine and it wouldn't have been visible anyway.
