D2 Pro-league in Canada

I hope you're right. Is the CSA's "announcement" they were talking about after Honduras still on track?

The only thing that would make me forget that nightmare is if we start a national D2 in the next month or two. I think they'll go for regional D3's though. Which would be disappointing, but better than nothing.

D2 or D3 as Long as it's Regional/National and "well run" with minimum requirements(each on of us has his sets....not going into them) in regards to facilites & staff I(and a few others) will be in Paradise.

If we end up with a D3 with X regional conferences, after a few years a D2 will flourish

If we end up with a D2 Nationally then a D3 will follow

Or I might just wakeup and realize it was a dream and we got **** All 10years from now......

I see your point. I just wonder how long it would take regional D3's to turn into a solid D2 in this country. We aren't exactly top class at running a domestic football league. But as you say, as long as whatever we get is well-run, it'll be positive. Hopefully we do get something.

PJSweet mentioned the CSA having a 'pro-league committee'. If it were up to me, I'd have them all fired for the wonderful work they've done in the last 100 years.

I just got this breaking news today. According to Ben Rycroft on Twitter, he mentions that the CSL commissioner is now a sitting member of this committee, thus signaling a serious conflict of interest. Furthermore, Rycroft alleges on his Twitter page that NOT much was said at this meeting. I wonder what Rycroft means by this. I just hope he comes on board real soon, and further expands on this story. I'm really curious to know the behind the scene scenario.

Hoping for D-2.

Perhaps worth bearing in mind that one already exists with a team based in Edmonton operating on a fully pro budget, with another to follow in Ottawa. The key to getting anything more than that to actually happen on this is not what gets discussed by CSA committees but what the people who would ultimately be making the financial investment want to do.
