MLS Playoffs

1/4 Finals continue tomorrow with 3 matches followed on Thursday with 1.

Offence has lacked in the first leg with only 5 shots finding the back of the net in the 4 matches.

Houston are the only team to score 2 while 4 have been shutout.

I expect Houston and NY to advance in the east while RSL and San Jose should take the west.

Agreed- only I'd like to think DC can sneak out of the east. For some reason, I enjoy watching Thierry Henry get frustrated and lose. Much more fun to watch Landycakes lose though. I like Keane, too bad for him. Actually, Houston are putting some decent games together, and Hainault has been on the bench for it, after playing most of the season, which is interesting.

Dominic Kinnear - him and Yallop -those are some solid coaches.

[h=1]Dynamo defender Hainault ready to sub for injured Taylor[/h]

Hainault, the team's defender of the year in 2011, started only two of the Dynamo's final seven games, and the start in the season finale came on a day Kinnear rested his regulars for the upcoming playoffs.

"Coming into the game, I was nervous just because it was a big game for us," Hainault said. "It's always tough to sit on the bench and watch the team. You want to be out there helping the guys. But as soon as I saw Jermaine go down, I got ready, and I felt pretty comfortable coming in."

SKC vs Houston was a very fun match last night, although KC probably should have come out with a win. Exciting though and you could feel the energy in the stadium, esp. after KC scored. Nice to see Hainault get the broadcast team's MOTM (they didn't call it MOTM but I don't recall what they called it ... Stand-out Player or something?)

Yeah, that was a great game. MLS is making strides. I see it becoming a top ten league sooner rather than later.

To me it didn't seem that dissimilar than EPL games that I watched on the weekend. QPR vs. Reading was a hack-fest ... the SKC vs. Houston game was a much better game IMHO.

I've mentioned before how MLS games are more akin to French Ligue 1, which is much better to watch than most prem games that don't involve Man U., City, Arsenal or Chelsea....and Tottenham I suppose. MLS sides are getting very technical and build up their plays through the midfield, which is how soccer/football should be played.

DC 1 NY 0 Fulltime

Plenty of drama, venue switch then snow out last night at Reb Bull Arena with 2 red cards a retake of a pk by Cooper and a goal on the counter by DC in the 88 minute and United are going to see Hainault in Houston on Sunday.
